Location is great

We were charged extra for an extra person but weren't aware of it when buying.

Nice clean room with great view. Nicely furnished. Darius was very friendly. Great old building with lots of character.

The mattress needs replaced. It sunk in the middle and was uneven.

The hostel is so quaint and beautiful, lots of lovely little interesting features through out it. The kitchen/dining room is so spacious, modern and bright, with everything you could need. The reading room is very cosy with lots of space for chilling out. I stayed in the family room with my 2 teenagers, there was plenty of room for the 3 of us. The beds were very comfy! The room was very clean and well equipped, as was the private bathroom. The view was beautiful! Looking right out over the bay. Parking was easy to find, on the street round the back of the hostel, however this might be a different story in the middle of summer. The manager Darius was very welcoming and friendly, and made us feel very comfortable during our stay. I truly loved my stay at Murray Library, and I will definitely stay there again.

Maybe a slightly later check out would be nice, especially travelling with teenagers who can never wake up in the morning.

Wonderful building, very well renovated! The kitchen was fantastic and so were the common areas. We had a double room. It was large with an amazing view of the sea. We loved our stay.

Room was bright and clean with a wash hand basin and good view of the harbour.Double bed was big & very comfortable.Singular communal toilet was clean. Twin communal showers were clean but one had an inadequate door lock.Communal kitchen is excellent.

No bedside light(s); no desk; no TV; single coat hanger on coats/umbrellas stand; no tumbler.Hot water tap in room wash hand basin took about 10 minutes to deliver warm/hot water.Communal showers took about 10 minutes to deliver warm/hot water.Bedroom decor is very dated.

Would like male and female separate dorms for extra comfortability, difficult parking, no chairs with backs in the kitchen

The place was in a great location which gave a good view out the window.. The place was clean and tidy.

You can't beat the location of this hostel in Anstruther. It's right at the bus stop and close to everything. Supermarket is a 5-10 minute walk away. The hostel is very well run and very clean. Bathrooms are great. Great showers! We never had to wait for a shower and there is a sink in the room as well. We usually stay in hotels, not hostels, but we had a private room and we were perfectly happy with Murray Library.

We had a sea view room, but the position of the bed in relation to the window meant that we couldn't sit in bed and look out the window at the view.

Loved the hostel, calm and comfortable, good kitchen and great showers( very important after a long days walking) Good to be so very close to bus links along the coast.

Our room had quite thin walls. If we‘d stayed longer and wanted to sleep in, that would have been hard depending on other guests staying in the room next door. But everything else was wonderful. A place worth checking out.

We had a gorgeous, light and airy family room overlooking the sea. The room and all the communal areas were clean and lovely. It was easy to access and centrally located in anstruther by the harbour.

Beautiful location in a historical property with view to the sea and Fife Costal Path within a short walking distance. Shared facilities (Kitchen and lounge) are spacious clean and well maintained. Shared Toilets and showers are modern, clean and also well maintained. The dormitory room is clean, well maintained with a comfortable mattress. Large supermarket ( Morrisons) is within a relatively short walking distance as well as award winning ice cream, fish and chips :)

Super convenient initial access to the hostel using the pin number provided. Darius the hostel manager was on hand to welcome us and provided great service by getting us into our room early. The room was excellent with a fantastic view of the sea.

What a lovely clean accommodation. We were slightly concerned about booking into a hostel, but we were pleasantly surprised on arrival. The rooms were clean and well maintained, our view was spectacular and the living spaces were kitted with everything one would need. I would highly recommend it to anyone passing through the area.
