    Pros +

    • Newer clean bathroom, use of sauna
    • The hospitality received at this hotel is unmatched!
    • The hotel staff was wonderful both at check in and checkout. Two of the rooms were close together. One was further away. It would have been nice to know that the pizza place was closed. Limited options for vegetarians. All in all though is was a beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. I would absolutely recommend to others. Thank you!

    Cons -

    • Need to accommodate vegetarians better! Understaffed.
    • The only thing I didn¿t like is that we didn¿t stay longer!
    • Limited food options at the restaurant.

    Not much

Old and tired hotel. Very shabby with the smallest room and bathroom.

    10LouisaPosted on: 10-26-2025

Very comfortable room with everything me and my dog needed. Staff were friendly, welcoming and pets were welcome throughout the hotel. Glencoe is a simply stunning location. Two restaurants on site, both of which served good quality food.

Only thing that would have improved the stay would be a fridge in the room, particularly when travelling with pets as fresh food should be kept chilled.

The inn provided a wholesome setting for a rural stay. The room was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed using the sauna and the restaurant was really delicious.

    3RyanPosted on: 10-22-2025

The hotel was filthy. Common areas, cobwebs, and dirt. We were told that the hotel will be closing for renovations. It might’ve sold to a new owner. If they are going to still operate prior to closing, the least they could do is clean the filthy floors, baseboards, etc.

    8ClaudiaPosted on: 10-22-2025

Property was well equipped and nicely presented

Service at breakfast was very slow. The young lady serving us was lovely and very apologetic but clearly run off her feet. Given that there was a local event on that weekend I was surprised the management didn’t arrange better staff cover for a full breakfast room.

    Breakfast was very good.

    1. "Comfy" double bedroom really not large enough for two adults.2. Dinner menu limited, and even then not everything listed was available. Measly portions for a mountaineering resort.3. Gloomy and slightly depressing decor.4. Very overpriced.

    Not much to like.

Where to begin. The photos online are much nicer than it actually is. Beds are terrible and so are the pillows, I’m not sure if any other rooms had a basic bar fridge? Ours certainly didn’t. Just an ordinary ensuite. When you get out of your room and into the smelly abyss that is the hallways, it’s an unpleasant smell that can’t be described but it is horrid. Sticks to your clothes it’s that bad. To top it all off we dined at the “dining room” restaurant, and this undercooked lamb gave us both food poisoning. Do not go here. Should be 1/10th of the price.

The staff were all very lovely and the shared spaces were comfortable

It was very expensive and didn't smell very nice. Could do with a really good deep clean .

    3LouisaPosted on: 10-18-2025

    Not a lot to like.

This place is in clear need of an overhaul and a bloody good clean. Room was tiny, beds uncomfortable and was obvious had never been vacuumed. Pillows were flat and revolting and stank like old pillows - yuck. Common areas too were in dire need if a vacuum. Dog filled bar made for a smelly and unappealing place to have a drink before dinner. Incredibly stinky hallway linking hotel to bar/restaurant. Pretty bad all round.

Cosy with nice staff in the lovely location of Glencoe.

    7ElizabethPosted on: 10-13-2025

Comfortable room.Reception staff and bar staff were super friendly.

Breakfast selection was very average. We had to ask for the fruit to be topped up. There were no pastries as indicated on the menu. We ordered a cooked breakfast and waited over 30 minutes for it to be served. Lots of stairs and doors.

The rooms (while small) had the best quality complementary products of any hotel in a 5 week trip

    8CaitlynPosted on: 10-9-2025

Check in process was easy and staff were very accomodating. Cute hotel and rooms were spacious and clean. Nice breakfast and overall good stay.

    Comfortable rooms & helpful staff.

Seemed to be short staffed.Restaurant was over priced and did not meet expectations.Limited options in restaurant and no vegan choicesNo drying facilities for walkers (we were soaked)Early check in would have been handy

    Near glencoe valley

Impossible to have dinner on site or anywhere else. Disappointing.

    5ElizabethPosted on: 10-4-2025

Great location. Rooms were clean and nice although definitely felt old

The staff at the front were incredibly unhelpful. They were unable to recommend any areas for walks and instead asked me if I had “heard of Google maps”.
