    Pros +

    • Great location. Clean and quaint facilities. Wonderful atmosphere with loads of local information. Very cute space!
    • Staff was friendly, cheapest spot around, cute little village, good kitchen facility (option to make and store food)
    • Easy to find, plenty of parking and clean rooms.

    Cons -

    • There was a dead bird close to the caravant. The bed are made with plywood. It smelled bad and wasn't clean at ALL. It was definetly not what I expected. Went to sleep in the B&B next door. I wasn't feeling safe in this place.
    • Beds were stiff and bathrooms were small but I managed fine for the one night I was there! Not many dining or grocery options nearby if you are on foot.
    • Shower was meh (very small and needed to be cleaned), not many bathrooms or showers, beds weren’t comfy (not that we really expected them to be as it’s a hostel)

Easy to find, plenty of parking and clean rooms.

Shower was slow to drain and kitchen could be larger for all to prepare meals at dinnertime. Need more seats for eating g as well.

There was a nice kitchen and lounge area. It was close to a few different places to eat and there was street parking available

Some other people who were staying in my room had an issue with their booking, as a result they both stayed in the single bed. They were quite noisy as a result which made it a little harder to sleep. The Wifi was not very good. The mattress was too hard and pillow too thin.

    4ColinPosted on: 10-2-2025

Reasonably well equipped kitchen. Good location.

Cramped, crowded and quite noisy. Woefully few showers and toilets for the number of guests. Limited kitchen space and seating

    5AmandaPosted on: 9-28-2025

Close to lots of places downtown including the hop-on hop off bus.

The noise. There is no established quiet time. The bar across the street has loud music playing all night as well.

Close to the restaurants in the town. Easy location for a quick overnight.

Small space with not much common areas. Plugs not easily accessible depending on what bunk you are in.

    7ShelbyPosted on: 9-13-2025

Access to kitchen facilities. Provided free tea, coffee, hot chocolate and milk. Laundry service cheaper than using the laundromat

There are not enough faculties for the number of guests, there are no guard rails on the top bunks and there is nowhere to lock up your belongings

    Not enough toilets/showers

It was a nice experience. Staff was very helpfull and nice. We have our own room with towels, which was pretty nice. I loved the location. Shared kitchen was very lively and well equipped. It definitelly was the only stay in island skye with normal prices. They can wash your laundry which is very helpful.

The beds were not very comfortable.

    8GalePosted on: 6-30-2025

Loved that breakfast and laundry service were available! And staff were so friendly and accommodating.

Kitchen a bit crowded but not much to do about that!

    10CarriePosted on: 6-25-2025

They were so accommodating. We blew a tire which made us 2 1/2 hours late for check-in and they were so understanding!

    9ZBIGNIEWPosted on: 6-24-2025

Well equiped kitchen. Clean. Nice staff. Heating.

    Not comfortable matters. Toilets, showers.

    8Sue P.Posted on: 6-20-2025

This was a fun place to stay. It was very busy! We stayed for two nights, which apparently is unusual. We were in a co-ed bunk room. The beds are passable - not the most comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed and was very clean in the morning. We met some interesting people and enjoyed the Isle of Skye.

The second night we had one person who was very inconsiderate of the four of us already in the room. He was loud at night and again at 6 AM - ignoring signs about not bothering roommates. This is a reflection on him, not the Hostel. The beds could use a mattress upgrade.

    7StevenPosted on: 4-30-2025

Generous breakfast at an acceptable price. Well equipped kitchen more than adequate for my needs. Friendly and helpful staff with good local knowledge. A quirky hostel with a pleasant vibe.

Room not suitable for a family or group of four people. No storage space for luggage. Possibly alright for two adults and a modest amount of luggage but it is inconsiderate of the management to expect four adults to share a room with limited space. Furthermore, the lack of privacy is another concern. No drying room for damp shoes or clothing. The facilities in this establishment are poor.

Great location, friendly, helpful staff, options of food and complimentary coffees and teas.Nearby places to eat and drink.Quiet.

    Leaving.
