Pros +
- Loved everything about this hotel. We had a great time there and only wish it could have been longer. Staff were excellent. We ate one night in dining room and food was great. I left some clothing in room and a member of staff mailed them to me!
- Many amenities. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Dining on site was wonderful and we took advantage each evening. Fireplace in the sitting room was very popular since we were having some wet weather.
- Absolutely beautiful location.
Cons -
- I had booked a Premium room. When I arrived I was given a handicapped room. When I asked for adjustment I was told there were no other rooms. I was offered nothing and basically told I had a Premium room And it should be just the same. it was not.
- Food was just so-so at both breakfast and dinner.
- Perhaps the food menu could be slightly bigger.

Absolutely beautiful location.
Food was just so-so at both breakfast and dinner.
What an amazing hotel. Extremely friendly staff, going out of their way to help. We were early so our room wasn't quite ready and would have been fine to wait, but instead they gave us an upgrade to a room that we were able to use straight away. The interior was stunning as well, with a lovely fireplace to sit by in the afternoon/evening. We were not feeling well, so sadly canceled our restaurant reservation but the delicious and affordable room service perfectly made up for that!
Perhaps the food menu could be slightly bigger.
Great location and beautiful modern feel. The hotel is classy and offers all the space and comfort you’d want in hotel. Loved the giant bathroom, bathtub and sky light. The breakfast is some of the best I had in Scotland! Highly recommend!
I liked everything
Restaurant and the view!
The smell in the corridor
Comfortable amenities. The rooms were comfortable.Staff was remarkable all the way around.. The restaurant is lovely with a seasonal menu. The location and views are unrivaled.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice and had enough variety. Everyone in our party enjoyed this hotel the best during our stay in Scotland.
Beautiful view. Friendly staff. Good size and comfortable rooms. Food and drink were very good.
Very comfortable room and delicious breakfast. View from the restaurant was excellent.
Very comfortable spacious rooms. Friendly efficient staff. Superb quality of food and ambience in the restaurant. Highly recommend.
Nothing to dislike.
The hotel was truly wonderful — the room view was absolutely breathtaking, exactly like the photos but even better, as if from a fairytale. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was incredibly delicious with a stunning restaurant view. Everything was perfect.
Honestly, there was nothing I didn’t like — everything exceeded my expectations.
We had room 41 looking out onto the bay. It was beautiful! The bathroom was large and accommodating. Dinner was fabulous! Our stay was short (24 hours) but amazing. The staff were wonderful in all regards.
An elevator for baggage would have been nice, but of course your incredible staff lugged them up the stairs for us, even though we protested. My one bigger concern were the spiders. LOL. When we were at dinner, there were small, black, thick spiders on the windows. It's nature. It happens. But the windows to our suite were right above it. It was hot and we wanted the windows open. But...the spiders! Screens on the window or something would have been great.
Fascinating lake view, hundreds meters aways from the town , overall we had a great stay
Breakfast was limited
Excellent Breakfast with custom entrees prepared by the chef and team
Price -- didn't meet the location and hotel amenities
Excellent accommodations. Friendly helpful staff. Excellent restaurant, the View, on site.
Not much. Was a great experience
Staff were very friendly. Spacious room with all necessary amenities. Comfortable fireplace room in the common areas with view over Portree for relaxing or for a drink. The restaurant where the breakfast was also served had amazing views.
Lovely hotel with amazing views! The staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Love that a full breakfast is included. Food was delicious and drinks were perfect. Thanks for a lovely stay!!
Loved everything!
An elegant hotel overlooking the colourful houses of Portree with a lovely onsite restaurant. We loved the cosy library with a roaring fire to relax in after dinner. We treated ourselves to a night here after a week of camping in the Scottish Highlands.
Restaurant was a little expensive - the place is definitely aimed at tourists but still very nice.
