Cons -
- Would have liked a bigger tv in the room and more choice of channels.
- it is the worst breakfast service hotel in Skye Scotland .When I came down to the breakfast. There was nobody in the restaurant. I asked if I can sit by window, because the table they gave me licking water from ceiling. There are two single tables by the window. The waiter said they are very busy. He only can put me the this table corner. But my breakfast kept 30mins, there were only 2 people in the 40 seaters restaurant. The restraunt lies in front of customers and with laughing. Very rude and racist. Worst experience in Scotland.

Nice hotel at a good price . Breakfast was excellent, very good quality served in a lovely room
Location, views from the room and breakfast
Nothing to fault
Good value for money, lovely breakfast, helpful and welcoming staff
Windows a bit drafty and letting in lots of noise from the street.
Breakfast was just ok.
Hosts were not friendly, towels were small and ragged. Rooms were not changed over. Very expensive for what we got.
You can't beat the location! The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. The room wasn't fancy but was very nice. The shower was great. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. It was a nice quiet room and all in my party were more than pleased.
The dining room staff was good but not quite as open and friendly as elsewhere in Scotland.
The location is good.
Smells of stale smoke and too much fabreze. Furnishings have a tired and institutional feel to them.
Good location
Very outdated and not clean. Everything was stained very badly (chairs, walls, bedding etc). Difficult to get luggage to room since no lift and no help. Hotel did not have enough resources or staff to service the guests. They ran out of food and seating, and some staff rude about it also
The included breakfast was very helpful. They helped resolve a parking situation I had which was very kind of them. Excellent customer service!!!
The shower did have a slight drip for a while after shutting it off/ using it which seemed to go one for longer than expected but this was very minor.
The room and bathroom were spacious and clean, and there was a smart TV. Location in Portree was right in the middle of everything and overlooking the water, so perfect for a short stay on the Isle of Skye. We arrived very late after driving all day from Edinburgh, and found out that most restaurants in town close by 9, so the hotel kept their kitchen open for us even though they had begun cleaning up.The chef even checked in with us about how our meal was.
The accommodations were clean, but basic and a bit outdated, so a bit overpriced. But we recognize that we Booked during the high tourist season.
The room we stayed has been updated, it was better than expected, there was a fan in the room which is very important, because the window cannot be opened, you need the fan to get air move. The location is great, right in the center town(very small town). The breakfast is huge amount but have to wait them to cook. In general, we're satisfied with the hotel, we were not sure after reading existing reviews, but it turned out not bad at all. Although it's really expensive but that's the price to pay for traveling.
The window in the room cannot be opened. The day when we were there, it was very warm during the day, so no air flow in the room is tough, but there a table fan in the room, which helps.
Clean , lovely location, hot powerful shower, lovely breakfast
I bit dated decor
Good location
Limited parking available, bit far from the hotel, safety and availability of parking spaces may not be guaranteed. The young male at the reception was not very friendly.
a loverly stay clean tidy and right in the town centre
Excellent position and views
The parking, its fine when its quiet,, but it wasn't really a great problem
The location could not have been better! It was perfectly located with a view of the water, and everything was walkable. I also had dinner in the restaurant which was really good. Good breakfast options as well.
The beds were a bit lumpy, and the room got a bit too warm.
The room was a good size and offered lovely views of the harbour. Staff at the check-in desk were friendly and helpful, as were those in the restaurant. The food at both dinners I had in the restaurant was very good.
The salmon served at breakfast was a bit too thick and chewy.
Room was nice and spaciuos and clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good.
The room was quite noisy even through the night, I was woken a couple of times by traffic and people outside the window. Although the bed was comfy the pillows for me were too hard.
