Pros +
- Very spacious and inviting. Easy to find. Convenient to get to town--10 min walk or 2 min drive. Close in proximity to some of Skye's most visited places.
- Room had a lovely view of the garden and the harbor in the distance. Quiet, clean, cozy, and comfortable, with a good restaurant on site for breakfast and dinner and other spa-like amenities. On site parking and a fairly central location on Skye made daytripping easy. 10 minute walk to the center of Portree for shops and restaurants.

Cons -
- No elevator. No AC. However, the windows were easy to open to let cool fresh air into the room.
- The shower pressure was underwhelming. The built in makeup mirror was too low to be used comfortably.
- Minor issues only - a bit cold in the bar area - no wood for fire. Sauna pod not functioning

Incredible staff, so welcoming, helpful, and hospitable. The hotel is well-styled and comfortable, and impeccably clean.A reduced dinner menu was available (local cheeses, breads, etc) which was delicious and great to enjoy by the fire.We awoke to a stunning view of the well-managed garden and the faint sound of bagpipes playing in the town centre. Bliss. Parking was easy, too.
Staff are very attentive and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Great rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and modern but with character

The restaurant was surprisingly good. It was clean and friendly.
Our room, though large, was cold and the bathroom needed serious updating. The shower trickled water. We had to ask the staff to bring in a heater in the evening because we were freezing. Also VERY expensive, especially for what it was which was essentially a 3 star property. I realize there is a dearth of hotels in the area but it was far more expensive that our 5 star Fairmont hotel in St Andrews (and a lot less comfortable). One more thing: the staff, while nice and friendly, all seemed new and as a result, couldn’t help us that much when I asked to speak to a manager. I will say that the person at the desk in the evening did provide us with a heater which was greatly appreciated!
Welcoming and comfortable with excellent bedrooms for weary travellers ! Staff were exceptionally helpful and hospitable. Special mention to the gentleman i/c the restaurant, highest standard. We didn't have the opportunity for dinner but breakfast was one of the best cooked and presented we've enjoyed for a long time.
Nothing to dislike.Suggestion - Hotel signage could do with a refresh to catch the eye more.
Wonderful breakfast, the rooms were clean and comfortable!
Property is beautiful. Great location wonderful views. Beautifully decorated.
Bed a little hard
Nice clean rooms. Staff very friendly and efficient. Room size was good. The restaurant was excellent. Food was good and plentiful.
Price was way over-priced for what it was. We were paying five star price for,at most, a four star hotel. Our second day (we had to switch rooms because our first room wasn’t available for two nights) we were at a family room. It was very large but it was chilly and we couldn’t adjust the temperature. So we were given two radiators. That helped quite a bit. But the shower the next morning was truly awful. It sputtered out water. (The bath the night before was excellent though.) Overall the bathrooms in both rooms needed a major overhaul as the toilets don’t work well either. Plumbing definitely needs an upgrade! The staff seemed very inexperienced. Most everyone we encountered were new and couldn’t really help us, even though they tried.
Clean and large sized room. Great shower and bed.
Very expensive! It was nice but not luxury.
Comfortable, walkable to town.
Hit or miss with the front desk. Not Always friendly.
Bedroom was big, mattress super comfortable. Amazing food for both dinner and breakfast! Staff was super nice and helpful
some of the stairs to go to the room are uneven and a bit scary
Well situated, restaurant and breakfast staff very kind. The quality of food and restaurant service good.
The room bore little resemblance to the photo. Tiny window, worn paintwork and headboard. Only a trickle of warm water from the shower and bedroom next to some kind of noisy generator (I wore head phones). And very expensive for the room quality.
Passable
When you pay almost 500 eur per one night stay you pretend a very high level service. A part from the guy at the reception and the young guy at breakfast (both very kind), the rest was a total disaster. Service very slow and staff not enough careful.
Spotless great staff superb food lovely room
Very clean and spacious rooms and very nice staff
High price yet understaffed leading to daily room cleaning not done
Polite and friendly attitude, nice view of the garden, pretty clean for UK standard.
The breakfast organisation was a little bit chaotic, haggis felt store bought.
Location is good. Facilities are good. Spacious room. Breakfast is very good, ordered to cook, just need more time.
A bit over priced. Very few choices available in the popular tourist spot. Not many restaurants around, better to plan ahead.
