    Pros +

    • It's a beautiful building in an amazing location, full of charm and character. Peter, the manager, was excellent in his attention to detail - he was the perfect host who really looked after us from beginning ,when he greeted us warmly at the front door, to end. We were very comfortable in our lovely spacious room which was spotlessly clean. We dined in on our first night and enjoyed a perfect three course meal in an elegant dining room where our first class and plentiful breakfast was served each morning. The hotel is stylishly decorated and furnished with antiques and paintings which enhance the warm, homely feel you get when you stay here. It is also good value for money. I thoroughly recommend the Seawood House.
    • Great location with easy access to the town. Nice views across the Bristol Channel. The bed was large and very comfortable. Very friendly staff.
    • Beautiful location. Well placed for exploring the town and convenient for the cliff railway. Wonderful sea views. Good breakfast and friendly staff.

    Cons -

    • There was nothing to dislike.
    • Nothing. It was ideal.
    • Our room was a little on the small side for a stay of more than one night.

Beautiful location. Well placed for exploring the town and convenient for the cliff railway. Wonderful sea views. Good breakfast and friendly staff.

Our room was a little on the small side for a stay of more than one night.

The hosts were amazing, the rooms were great and had good wifi signal. The breakfast was solid and we loved the bar/drinks availability options.

    N/A, everything was great

The location of the hotel was ideal. Outstanding views from the bedroom and a comfortable bed. An excellent breakfast was also served.

A few pieces of wallpaper needed to be stuck down and a bulb missing in the bathroom mirror, but that did not stop us enjoying our stay.

    Location and views are excellent

Hotel just need a little maintenance, gutter above entrance leaking on visitors, bath side panel shabby, stair spindles broken

    10DavePosted on: 10-19-2025

It's location is very quiet and wonderful.Staff were professional and cared about your experience. We absolutely loved the place.Oh and having the tourist hill train at the end of a garden path running from 10am down to the seafront was a nice bonus.

To answer a what didn't you like question on booking. Com... A slight problem with Parking can be a little tight, but "ask" the staff and the problem gets solved. They are brilliant.

Perfect location very close to the cliff railway with lovely views. Great walks out directly from the hotel; we left the car parked in the car park for the whole of our stay. Food was very good, we had dinner on the first evening which was excellent as was the cooked breakfast.

    10KellyPosted on: 10-12-2025

That it was out of the way in a nice and quiet area. It's a small hotel so not lots of guests. They accommodate for dogs. Food was great, breakfast and dinner. Rooms nicely decorated and was well equipped. Staff friendly and helpful.

Absolutely wonderful place for a solo trip, the hotel is comfortable & the owners really warm & welcoming. The views all around are absolutely stunning. Great place to go, rest & recharge

The only tiny thing was the mugs, lots of dinky cups & saucers would have been nice to have a proper mug but honestly I am nitpicking!

Good choice of breakfast and lovely room. This hotel is impeccably furnushed with lovely period pieces throughout. The small number of staff do an amazing job. This was our fourth visit andvwont ge our last.

Beautiful small boutique hotelFantastic view over the Bristol canal Great location for walking around / day trips and close to the villiage restaurantsVery friendly and efficient staff and great breakfast One night we ordered also dinner at the hotel which was also delicious

The only fault is the very narrow and steep road leading to the hotel, however nobody could be blamed for that…..

    10KarenPosted on: 9-19-2025

Very clean and tidy. Views of the sea exceptional, the staff were absolutely lovely and polite.

    10TerryPosted on: 9-14-2025

Lovely location very friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient for Linton and the Cliff Railway. The hotel is lovely and very clean with nicely decorated rooms to compliment the lovely furniture. The parking is also a great convenience.

Wonderful room and stunning sea views

A fridge might have been useful, although we could use the one in the communal kitchen

    10DeasyPosted on: 9-7-2025

Good sea view from room and breakfast table, staff verry welcoming and helpful

    9NeilPosted on: 9-2-2025

Lovely room for solo traveller with a great view. Path at back of hotel leading directly to cliff railway and Lynton Village. Location is excellent for various walks. Breakfast very good and all staff lovely.

    10AhmedPosted on: 8-26-2025

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is is located on a spectacular spot and the views are amazing. Our family room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The hotel is also very quiet, which is what we like and it's very easy to get in and out of the area from the hotel to visit other parts of North Devon.

The car parking can be a bit challenging if other drivers do not park their cars properly. Marking the car parking spaces with lines will perhaps force other drivers to park properly.
