    Pros +

    • Good value, good standard of cleanliness, good size room with tea/coffee facilities, good shower, comfy bed, outside seating area, reasonably quiet except for fire door in corridor outside that crashed shut every time it was used. No parking issues. Excellent adjacent restaurant/breakfast facility with very good food and good atmosphere, well stocked bar and attached shop for local produce and off-sale purchases. Great location for visiting Aberaeron and New Quay (in west Wales), although we didn't need them very good indoor play areas for kids.
    • Clean, comfortable rooms with quirky decor. Excellent range of facilities and activities on site for the whole family. Great restaurant and bar area. Tasty breakfasts.
    • Beautiful location, lovely bar and bistro, comfy bed, everywhere very clean, really friendly atmosphere

    Cons -

    • Fixed shower head, lack of comfy seats and no refrigerator in the room, relatively high food cost (for Wales)
    • Only one small bit of feedback, the rooms were very bright In the morning, black out curtain linings or darker curtains would be amazing
    • Hotel price but a bit camp-site in places. No shower gel or shampoo in the shower. No temperature control in the shower.Put a proper chair in the room instead of a little stool

The Moo-tel was absolutely lovely. Spotless, great decor ?, very comfortable and a great size room with a patio. It's also dog friendly. The Moody Cow bar/ restaurant was excellent. Staff were great. There's a great play area and indoor foam pit and trampolines for the kids ( and extra cost) Would definitely recommend and will be back for another stay. It's also a huge camp / caravan site , some pitches for tourers also have a hot tub !!!!

Great decor, warm rooms. We have 7/10 as the facilities, restaurant and location were lovely

Unfortunately our room faced the main area of the car park which is lit all night by very strong lights - this meant our room was incredibly bright (it was like daylight) and we all struggled to sleep which really put a damper on our trip. The rooms facing the car park need far better window dressings

The Moo-Tel was fabulous and so central to the whole site. It was so clean and fresh and rustic. We loved it. The food at the Bistro was superb. We had a great stay and will definitely be back. Great venue and so central to local places.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like but as an improvement in the room, it could have done with a small seating area, some drawers (to save living out of a case) and a coat hook. Although there was a comfort area available outside the room it was often busy and not always convenient. We liked to eat food we had brought back in private and had to eat and drink on the bed which wasn’t ideal. Not a complaint at all just an observation. The menu was repetitive and could do with a ‘specials’ board choice as an alternative some days. Menu and food was fabulous all the same.

The rooms at the Moo-tel were spotlessly clean. The evening meal was very nice and the staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was also very good.

Lunch and dinner were excellent, tasty and good value.Staff were always friendly and helpful.

Bed in the Moo-tel was hard for a three night stay. The bulkhead light outside each room were on all night and very bright causing light pollution in the room affecting sleep.

We stayed here for one night in the Moo Tell, Loved it..really loved it. The Rooms are great, no Carpet, Nice shower, push to start and you get 30 seconds NO toiletries, Nice big area where you can lounge. The bistrow does some amazing food, we had a Steak each, divine, and then breakfast for £10 with a lot of choice. If you stay in the park with your caravan or camper you will more then likely get a hot tub as the seem to all have one. I'd stay there again for sure if i was that way. £88 a night when we stayed.

Only thing that lets it down is the fact that they dont have ANY COWS !!! That would make the place if they had Highland cows and did meet and great experiences.NO toiletries

I loved the accomodation. Clean, nicely decorated, quirky. Loved the idea of the communal lounge.

Could have had voiles around the window so that we could feel private whilst still getting light in the bedroom. That would have made it perfect.

Love the place first time we have stayed here but been here many times with the grandkids and for food

It needs a comfy chair in the room and I was a bit noisy

    5JamesPosted on: 2-27-2025

The actual room.was great. However heavy fire doors in corridor leaves you with no chance of any decent sleep. The restaurant, great food, but staff couldn't wait for us to leave. Open until 11pm, and kicked out at 10pm.Won't be returning.

Loved Bargoed farm and the mootel room we stayed in :) very cosy feel had tea coffee etc and a little sitting area outside. Loved that the farm itself had a restaurant and bar including farm shop onsite. We had breakfast and dinner there and it was lovely. Would definitely come back again. It’s in such a great location and less than half hour you can be in either Newquay cardigan or Aberystwyth :)

Nothing had everything we needed. Can’t see how anyone would dislike anything here really :)

Good location great and friendly people great service great value for money, top place to stay would highly recommend it ?

Rooms could have done with a mini fridge, communal fridge smelt bad as if it had not been cleaned, but this was only a minor issue.
