Breakfast option in the morning. We had a problem with lock on our door to room.
Really nice old building living up to my expectations! Staff was so nice and I was lucky to get into my room a lot earlier, which I really appreciated! I think I had the best room with such an amazing view!
Unfortunately, breakfast wasn't an option at the moment, but the staff was nice to recommend places for me to go!
Property is a little tired, the floor in my room was VERY creaky (just hoped there wasn’t a bedroom below me) & the lock to my room needed attention as the key stuck every time I used it and the mechanism was very loose in the door, which didn’t instil me with security confidence. Only other gripe was that there was black mould starting to come through at the very bottom of the wall in bathroom, opposite the toilet. other than that the room was spotless, well made up with plenty of tea/coffee/milk, plenty of good towels the bathroom other than mentioned was very clean and new looking. I only had a short interaction with the staff/(owner maybe?) and that experience was helpful and pleasant. I didn’t have breakfast as I don’t eat it so cannot report on that. Would definitely stay here again, was good for the price (£56)
Shame there was no restaurant for breakfast in the morning. The staff we did see were polite but not extraordinary. We only needed a base as we were leaving early in the morning
It’s in an isolated town. Quiet , clean and food shops are close by. I just loved it
If they could include breakfast, I think it would be great
Lovely old house. Bedroom spacious
Skeleton staff. Restaurant closed. Lights on in the bar but no service.
The Hotel has its own car park - free to guests.A double room cost only £64 - very reasonable. The owner greeted us warmly and offered to carry our cases up to our room. The Hotel is spotless throughout. There is a games room with a snooker table and a lounge area with a bar.The room itself was spacious with a very comfortable bed and plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits available. The ensuite was spotless also and there were some lovely toiletries to use.The standard late check out was much appreciated following a long journey the previous day.The other staff were very friendly too.We were even treated to a lovely cup of coffee and cakes before we set off the next day.All in all, we would highly recommend Rothwell House Hotel. We will definitely stay there again.
No complaints at all.
Didn’t get breakfast j
Not much friendly staff happy to help and enjoyed our visit
Quiet. Basic. But had all essentials. Power sockets either side of bed. Warm room. Etc. staff were wonderful.
TV’s terrestrial only. Couldn’t logon to stream. No breakfast facilities but highly recommend The T Room just a 2 minute walk away. Fabulous b’fast there.
It was across the road from venue we had to attend
Dated room, the room was to hot and could only slightly open window
Value for money
The room was very hot. The kettle didn't turn off by itself and ended up burning my hand on the handle it was that hot.

We were very happy with our stay at OYO Rothwell House Hotel. It is in a perfect location for exploring the town and area and we had a quiet room on the first floor. The room was very clean and comfortable - the furniture all looked new and parts of it looked freshly painted. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was spotless. The bathroom was a good size, as was the shower cubicle - the shower was lovely! Plenty of tea, coffee, sugar and milk sachets provided. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Extremely good value for money.
Nothing - we were happy with our stay.
Peaceful, silent
Smaller parking area , bigger vans obstructed slots
The rooms were spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable
Nothing everything was fine
It was lovely from start to finish, the staff were amazingly helpful and very friendly. The room was spacious, well laid out and very clean, bathroom was very nice with great water pressure in the shower.A really nice bar area with a very well stocked bar.
They weren't serving food when I stayed although it's listed as a hotel & restaurant, not much of a problem though as there are plenty of options very close by.
Exceptional value and well worth a visit .Do book and stay here ! This lovely hotel is a real pleasure to be in . The staff were very welcoming and helpful . The building is lovely , and very smartly decorated . The rooms / beds very comfortable and clean , with ample tea and coffee making facilities ( and some biscuits) . The Bar area is elegant and drink prices competitive .. Bridge Street has places to eat and shopping close by . A real gem - and I would divert a trip to stay here again !
All good
Exceeded my expectations for customer service and the person who gave their EVERYTHING to ensure they made my stay in the hotel, being to the best it could've possibly been.So I'd like to make sure it's made known that majority of my best experience of my stay in ROTHWELL HOUSE HOTEL is down to the attentiveness of Suresh !!
