Comfy bed and very quiet, and a excellent breakfast

Clean and the bed was comfortable. Helpful friendly staff. Breakfast served to order. Great for an overnight stay.

Phone reception poor in this location.

We were meeting up with family and decided to book one night , we were not disappointed . Exceptional . We wish we had packed more to stay for your New Years Eve Party night . Breakfast was superb as was the dining the afternoon before .

If i had to make a gripe and i really don't like to , is the lady that booked us in seemed a bit abrupt . I did try conversation but felt it was name, card for payment , key and that was it .

We like location and price

My husband is disabled and we had to climb stairs which was awful! A lift would be much better. Also please put an anti slip mat in the shower cubicle. I almost slipped numerous times, very dangerous

Staff were exceptional went above and beyondThe New Year’s Eve gala was amazing staff worked hard and were excellent. The food was excellent will be booking for 2026 NYE and will look at eating out here before then

Hotel room walks were thin and this meant you could hear lots of noise from other rooms and doors slamming, no toilet roll holder, bathroom shower tray mouldy around bottom where it meets the floor .bar staff grumpy, on check out they lady was not polite and just took the key and turned away . Not giving me a chance to voice my problems.

Carpets were stained. Bathroom layout was very strange as in there was nowhere for you to be able to access toilet roll unless you placed it on the sink. Limited beverage selection and no additional complimentary additions. Tired decor. The heating could not be turned on and given that I was staying for an outside event when it was cold and raining I really needed to dry my wet clothes which was not possible. The rooms need a refresh.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant was very nicely designed and the food was amazing. I had the steak pie and to be honest, the nicest pie I have had in years. Good selection of beers and wines, and just generally very impressed overall. Looking forward to using this as my Midlands stop over in future.

I only had one slight issue and that was the shower curtain. It wrapped itself around me due to the pressure of the shower and open bathroom door. Apart from that I had no other issues.

I know it was auutumn when I stayed but I also come when weather is warmer be nice if there was somewhere to sit out

Bed was too small(4ft 6ins), couldn't book a twin as none available but at least a 5 ft would have been better.Was given an extra quilt but larger bed preferable.

The breakfast was good.

It was a bit noisy outside so interrupted sleep. Also the plumbing seems to be linked as you could hear when someone else used the shower or toilet.
