- The staff were friendly and the food at the hotel was delicious. Room was very cosey and stylish.
- Location is lovely. Exterior is beautiful and well kept.
- hostess was accomadating
Cons -
- The spa wa very small and the steam room wasn't working yet we were still charged full price. Bed was also barely bigger then a single
- The room and interior of hotel in general is tired, had very little natural light, only provided with 1 towel, no shower gel etc in the shower, all in the bath. Bizarre policy on having to request your room to be serviced which is framed as a benefit rather than a cost cutting measure.
- Why pay extra for hot tubs which were full of bubbles and didn't seem really clean and jets very hard to activate. Steam room only luke warm.

Staff team really friendly, food and service was excellent at both dinner and breakfast. Bedroom doors didn't slam or bang, beds comfortable and rooms clean.
Bathroom could do with updating, sink was cracked and well worn, shower could use some TLC but was all clean and well presented for its age.
Location and room were lovely.
Could of been a bit more available in the spa.
The room was lovely, very clean and bed was comfy, the staff were friendly and welcoming!
Beautiful room, beautiful area. We didn't get a chance to use the spa facilities but will be back to try them out too.
Good location
The bathroom had cracked tiles and was datedRadiator noises and needed paintingGenerally the hotel was tired and was in need of freshening up
Location and size of room
Stained carpets and no fridge in room
The ambience of the entrance was nice. The receptionists on Sunday and on Monday was very welcoming and informative about the area. The staff in the restaurant (breakfast), very attentive and ensured personal needs were met. And was ready on the table (soya milk). The beds, quilt and sheets. The darkness of the room at night. The bathroom and the light around the mirror The hand & body wash
Even though we got the last room which was stated as 2 single beds. We thought it was a room with 2 double beds and surprised at the size of the single. But we were ok. The bed was comfortable and we moved them together…..whoops! The room was quite dark, during the day and not much light coming in from outside. The view was very nice but for the one night it was ok.There was a consistent noise throughout the night that caused us to take a while to fall asleep. In room 212. Made you feel you was in a back room . Highly recommend descaling your kettles regularly, concentrated lemon works well.
Staff were very good and helpful. Restaurant was nice and good choices on menu
Furniture in bedroom was tired and had some issues with heating hot water due to fire alarm.Spa wasn’t that great TBH
Location
Dated, expensive for the quality of roomLong wait for breakfast issues with the kitchen apparently
Passable
Room.....2 lights weren't' working, the bed mattress was too soft, TV was small and too far away from the bed to see easily, and there isn't a routine daily room service (ie clean).
Fantastic location, really comfortable beds and clean room
The spa is quite expensive for what it is but it’s nice to have the option to use it.
Nice staff pleasant atmosphere nice
Everything was great unfortunately the breakfast wasn’t up to the same standards precooked and nasty all well overcooked
Professional and courteous staff. Excellent food.
Dogs barking in rooms.
Got given the spa and afternoon tea voucher for Christmas , paired it with a overnight stay
Location
Room. So warm no ventilation and cold water was warm. Husband slept on floor as the room was so hot
The Wi-Fi was poor, not a decent reception, the room wasn’t attended to on our 2nd day.
Tastefully arranged interior, gorgeous wallpaper on the wall, comfy bed, huge shower, great spa, very helpful and lovely staff. The hotel is located approximately 10 min walk from Cornmill Inn and 2 min from Aldi and Home Bargains. I’ll definitely stay there again.
The only thing that was somewhat bothering was the noises coming out of the other rooms. Very thin walls which was the cause of me waking up much earlier than I intended to.
