Paying for the parking as a resident of the hotel. The staff that booked us in didn't tell us breakfast times or check out times.

The staff were great and very accomodating, and breakfast was good. It was a great central location.

All double beds are just that - doubles. There are no queens or kings in the hotel. We booked a double room expecting a larger bed like the photos, but there weren't any! The guy at reception kindly sorted us out with a room with a double and a twin so we could get some space to sleep! The hotel looked a little tired, and in need of a repaint in the rooms, but all in all, it did the job for one night.

Location and outdoor facilities were nice.

Very outdated and run down. Lacked any charm or atmosphere. Our bed was very uncomfortable. Felt there was lack of staff.

The food was of a good standard.The Staff were friendly and helpful.The Hotel offers value for money.

Perhaps the staff could have been more prompt on occasion. They did, however, care and had a good attitude.

Location would have been ideal. There is limited parking in Llangollen and this was in walking distance

I checked my reservation a day before arrival. It said there was no longer any availability. I tried to call them with no success. We had to travel several miles away from Llangollen to find alternative accommodation. I am now being charged with a “no show!” I emailed to explain the situation and appeal the charge, but no response. Very frustrating.

Great location in the heart of Llangollen town. Charming and historic hotel with free parking. Nice area to have drinks by the river. We had lovely room overlooking river.

This is fairly large hotel in the middle of town. Location is excellent. Being honest, the rooms could do with a little updating. The window of my room rattled in the wind and soundproofing was non-existent (it overlooked the rear courtyard). The bathroom is a little dated with an over-bath shower a little lacking in water pressure. Having said that, the room was clean & and bed comfortable. The staff were all great and the food was excellent. I had a main meal both evenings and the buffet breakfast was one of the best I've had.

It does need a some money spent on it to bring it up to modern standards. The rattling windows & poor soundproofing need addressing, as well as minor niggles regarding the poor shower, tiny TV and and intermittent wi-fi signal in the room.

Very good older hotel. Our room was clean and fairly large. We were on the top floor of a 3 level hotel and had to carry bags up. The location along the river and parking are big plus. Breakfast buffet is good. We also had Sunday roast while there which was very good too.

Carrying bags up 3 floors. Try to get a lower level if you have a large suitcase.

Loved the warm welcome we received from Denise and her team. We loved the location. Breakfast was excellent

Comfortable if small double bed, large room, great views, warm. Great breakfast, nice bar, lovely garden beside the river. Parking and close to centre of town.

Washbasin in bedroom, water for shower difficult to mix properly.

We liked everything, bed was so comfy too.

There wasn't anything we didn't like, I would say that there's room for improvement with cold buffet breakfast as milk was quite warm as was the water, maybe invest in a small chilled refrigerator, hot food was spot on.

Hotel is 5 mins walk from the town centre. Hotel seemed short staffed but they were helpful and friendly. Room was clean and tidy. Heritage over bath shower. Breakfast was good quality.

The live entertainment was very good.

on arrival the guy who was working on recetion and the bar was quite abrupt and rude and they appeared to be short staffed. the room and building felt like it was sliding into the riveras it was all on a slope.

Handy for town reasonably priced too, staff seemed friendly enough & free parking at the back of the hotel. Slept well as I found the bed comfy (took my own pillow) plus it was a quiet room overlooking the River Dee. Recommend the Cornmill restaurant /pub in town for some excellent food & night out.

Our superior room (room 59 not the 4poster room) strangely had no sink in the bathroom but next to the wardrobe in bedroom which was odd the shower wasnt great either. Areas need major refurbishment & there was a lack of WiFi in our room. Breakfast crockery, glasses not that clean for juices were not that great too.
