Lovely hotel, excellent staff, excellent food, amazing scenery, room was excellent. Great Location. Highly recommended. ?
Leaving.
The hotel was not walking distance from cartmel Village due to a very steep hill and no path. Needed to use taxi. Main hotel building very run down and tired. Bedroom was in a separate annexe at the back of the hotel, and although decoration was dated, it was clean and comfortable, and the shower was hot.
Cosy room with a lovely view. Nice lounge, restaurant and bar, friendly staff.
Shower leaked water all over the floor.
Fabulous views across the countryside towards the bay. Great place for one or two night stay. Room was clean and cosy. Pity no shower over the bath. Difficult to wash my hair.
Friendly staff, lovely owners. Good communication before we arrived to notify of a 70th in the restaurant. Not a problem as we were going out. Room was nice - not massive but clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom, also clean. Breakfast was really nice - I had a full english which was really nice and friend had eggs benedict which was also lovely. Property has lovely views situated as it is on the top of a hill.

Recently refurbished country inn with excellent views. Very welcoming hosts and staff
We were the only guests and property had just reopened after short post Christmas break.Rather cold throughout property, especially in bathroom.Limited Dinner Menu
Alan, Sue and the team do a cracking job of looking after their guests. We were made so welcome and they couldn’t have been more hospitable. Everywhere is clean and well maintained to a high standard. Meals we had (breakfast and dinner) were all exceptional and cooked with fresh ingredients. We loved relaxing by the fire with a glass of wine.
There’s nothing not to like.
Great location, great hosts, wonderful staff and accommodation Fabulous breakfast ?
Great family who own the pub. Very helpful and genuinely pleasant people:Well worth a visit if you’re nearby.
Outstanding views from the room and the bar. Great twin room (which can be hard to find) and friendly, helpful staff. Didn’t have dinner there but breakfast was excellent.
The room was very spacious and with all the facilities you would expect. Comfy bed and bathroom had shower and bath. The staff went the extra mile, posting a book that I forgot behind. We had a lovely time. The hotel is far from Cartmel centre but we managed to get a taxi for 7£ on way.
Location, we would have liked to be closer to town. The shower needed more pressure
Fantastic views & fantastic staff and dog friendly nothing not to like
Beautiful small hotel the location and view was amazing .Breakfast was really good ordered to individual choice .The staff were so friendly and made us feel so welcome we will definitely return.
There was nothing to dislike. The Hotel is a little gem so glad we found it. We will return .
Poor vegetarian breakfast.
The room was very small ,the shower was little more than a.trickle. The door lock was too close to the casement and therefore difficult to turn the key. The tea and coffee facilities where laid out on a very low and small stool type table.making it awkward to make a cup of tea.
Staff where friendly, bed was sooo comfy, and breakfast was amazingly good... thank you for your services. If we're ever up this way again would definatly stay here. Views where amazing and it was a lovely walk down to the nearest village Cartmel itself where there is a lovely courtyard with its own brewery in the corner that sells its own beer and had live music. Lovely little place and some beautiful buildings to see around the village itself.
Great location and views. Welcoming and very helpful staff.Bedrooms very comfortable and clean.
Breakfast excellent choice with helpful staff.More choices of lighter meals on evening menu.
Staff very nice, incredible view and the room was very clean
