Great location, spacious room + tasty Breakfast

Perfect placement in Cartmel surrounded by local friendly pubs and restaurants! Gorgeous location.

A warm welcome and a comfortable, spotlessly clean room with comfortable beds. The breakfast was fabulous, cooked to order and nothing was too much trouble for the staff .There was a better choice than in the enormous chain hotel we had stayed in the night before. The location was perfect, central village position overlooking the delightful village square . We would definitely stay again.

No hassle friendly check in and out, breakfast amazing quality , perfectly cooked and tasty local produce. Room overall delightful and well equipped though suggest changing the mattress for more support.

Perfectly located in the centre of the village with restaurants, bars and pubs all within easy reach. Staff and locals very friendly. You don’t need a car but if you want to explore the area, it might be a good idea. We relied on taxis which was a bit expensive.

We had a nice stay in this lovely hotel right in the heart of Cartmel, it’s an excellent location with the racecourse parking a 3 minute walk away. Spacious rooms with nice bathrooms, the owners and all the staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were top quality, overall an excellent stay and would recommend.

Great b&b right in the centre of Cartmel. lovely staff could not be anymore helpful. Breakfast was wonderful very good service & definitely would stay again.

Room 4 was clean, but very basic

Room beautiful, clean, bathroom and shower lovely ? Staff so so friendly and very helpful and informative about the local area.

Room was far too warm but we were able to open both bathroom windows and bathroom door to let air through, also a free standing fan was supplied in room.We were also able to turn the heat down on the radiator.This did not effect our stay at all ?

The staff were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was lovely and with some nice touches, bottled water and toiletries and a super shower. Breakfast was excellent with great quality of food. We went to l'eclume so only ate breakfast but we will return to try their Sunday lunch.

Location and staff. It’s a small property, with 7 rooms and this allowed the staff time to chat to guests.

Room 7 .We were based on the top floor with low level ceilings in bedroom and bathroom and although there was writing saying “ mind your head “, we felt it wasn’t obvious enough and someone could hurt themselves!

The attitude of the manager was aggressive and confrontational when made aware that the heating in the room and bathroom did not work. The offer of an extra blanket was neither appropriate nor sufficient.

Cute and friendly staff. Very clean!

The bedroom was absolutely freezing and didn’t seem any way to turn the heating on!

We were in family suite, loads of space and cosy room.

Noise from the bar reached the room & could hear snorers through the wall

Well appointed room but no window so impossible to get air unless the bathroom window and door was open, which would have made the bathroom cold. Very good and spacious bathroom and nice big towels

Reasonably good cooked breakfast but not much if you’re diabetic and don’t like a cooked breakfast. Some natural yoghurt, fruit or cheese would have been good but appreciate the constraints with such a small hotel

Clean, comfortable, good location.

Hosts were very accommodating with late check out, at an extra cost, and were very friendly and welcoming. Room was large and bathroom was great.

It was noisy and we found the bed soft and uncomfy so didn't sleep well during our stay.

The location

It is listed as an hotel but with no food served in the evening and the bar closing at 7pm I feel this establishment should be described as a B&B not a hotel.

Fantastic hotel, great location and comfortable / quiet room. We'll be back!!The breakfast was excellent, lovely dining room - the staff were so friendly and welcoming. A first class stay.
