Location, Friendly staff
Rooms had mold. Towel rail not working No elevator My name was removed from ho
Breakfast was good - it just wasn't made clear upon our arrival for a 3-night stay where pub accommodation guests were to have their breakfast Or that we could only choose from the menu in that designated area of the pub, which ended up with us paying more for breakfast because we were told to go to the main pub area to order our breakfast - by the person in the designated area, who was unfriendly and quite rude to us!
Unfortunately, my husband had an accident in the bath on the first night of our 3-night stay. He slipped in the bath whilst taking a shower, fell and injured his head. There were rubber mats available, which we didn't see the notice until AFTER he'd had his accident. Neither of us has EVER had an accident before in accommodation by slipping whilst standing inside a bath taking a shower - so pretty poorly designed. The manager and the lady on reception at the property were both excellent and acted promptly in what we perceived to be an emergency. They looked after and cared for my husband and myself, and continued to for the remaining 2-nights of our stay. However, the room we were transferred to - from an upstairs room to the ground floor - had a problem in the bathroom. The sink taps didn't work properly with the cold water tap barely able to be turned completely off, so there must have been a plumbing problem.
Wonderful stay, staff were amazing, really welcoming and friendly. Room was comfortable, and clean. Pub serves nice food, good value and fast service. Download and use the app to order and you don't even have to leave your seat. Wifi was ok, better in the room than the pub.
Bed had a few springs in the mattress that were sticking out and uncomfortable to lie on.
Lovely staff and comfy bed. Rooms and bathroom very tired but good for a one night stay

Really lovely staff, very welcoming nothing was too much trouble.. bed was very comfortable and everything was clean.
Location
Tired and broken facilities. Bathroom hot tap 'spun' around and came on with a drip. The extractor fan was dismantled with parts and wires exposed. Bathroom filled with steam and moisture.
Very large family room, which was a good base when visiting family in the area. Restaurant attached and lots of others nearby.
The hotel was much more dated than expected. It could do with a little TLC if I’m honest. The room was clean, but basic. A lick of paint or renewing the tile grout could make a massive impact! Staff were all very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was lovely. Unsure if I would stay again though. It definitely felt a little abandoned.

The staff both on reception and in restaurant went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasure. The room was very comfortable and clean with tea coffee etc replaced everyday.
The bathroom could do with a bit of attention under sink. And toilet roll holder damaged but that didn't spoil our stay. Also cracked in sink.

shower and shower curtain
Ok needs updating, dirty smell when you walked into the reception area.
Dirty carpet, reception area old and dirty room was ok. Bed was clean and comfortable
Friendly helpful staff especially Haley at reception desk who made our stay more comfortable
The rooms were a little dated. No plug sockets near beds nor any USB sockets whixh are the norm in most hotels in this day and age. The bathroom are very worn and even although they are probably cleaned to highest standards the rotting bath panels stained and old bath with overhead shower and the non slip area in bath to step into for shower was slippy to point I couldn't safely have a shower. Upgrading of rooms are definitely required as the are substandard especially for disabled accessibility.
The location is ideally, the food is a great variety and good valve for money
some roos are a little dated and could do with a makeover
Food was goodPrice to stay was good
Think the place needs refurbishmentStaff dress code poorSome staff need to develop a more friendly approach
We did not have breakfast as we had an early funeral to go to. 5 mins walk to family.
The bathroom really needs updating. The sink taps don’t turn well - needs replacing. Splashed paint on window sill.
Location and restaurant.
Serving margarine at breakfast but no butter (yuk)
