Pros +
- The tv had lots of viewing options (netflix, prime, itvx, disney etc) Bed was comfortable with lovely white bedding and daily fresh towels and room tidied up (bed re-made -no bedding changed, tea coffee topped up, bathroom refreshed and new towels).
- Very comfortable bed and spacious clean room
- Nice hotel clean and friendly rooms food was good in restaurant,Room was nice.
Cons -
- The room although cleaned, not to a thorough level, quite grubby in area: behind the chair in room, bed the bedside drawer/ head board - i noticed this when I was looking for a plug socket next to the bed - there was none which was disappointing, also the bathroom tiles were grubby, and the ceiling had mould, and the carpet had stains on it. I felt the breakfast was a but pricey for what it was - i got it on the first day only.Overall I enjoyed my stay and the minor issues did not affect my stay, but improvements would make this an even better hotel.
- No dislikes
- The room was dated in this day and age most people have electronic devices 3 plugs in room one has t.v one has kettle one free and no where near the bed you need a 4m charge lead Besides that overall enjoyed are stay

Absolutely excellent on all counts. Its warm and friendly, comfortable and quiet. This was our second stay here. We paid for a gorgeous evening meal and a really nice breakfast. Holiday extras put us onto this hotel a few years ago now as we needed long stay car parking for John Lennon Liverpool Airport and this was a cheaper but worth it option. It's about 14 miles from the airport so didn't mind taxi fare. This hotel is so lovely for everything. I think it is very reasonably priced too.
Dog friendly, room spacious and ground floor. Good car parking Stayed before.
Dog not allowed in the restaurant so didn't buy any dinner or breakfast.
Location to event for purpose of booking.
Having to pay an increase on arrival when we'd already booked and paid price via booking.com
Location for event attending. Clean.
The price differed on arrival that had been paid via booking.com - increased!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and contained good quality ingredients. We enjoyed the breakfast. The selection of colder items was more limited but I don't blame them as there were not many people staying so risk wasting food.
The lager on draft tasted stale and the drinks were all expensive. £17 for a pint and a large glass of wine and £20 for 2 gin and tonics (1 was a single).
The location was fantastic very close to the training session that I needed. The breakfast was very good.
The hotels incredibly dated which means that the bedrooms are not particularly comfortable, my bed was uncomfortable I can adjust the heat temperature in the room and generally it was not a great night's sleep. I had dinner in the restaurant as the hotel doesn't have a lot nearby... And again it was not great the menu I would class as okay pub food but the only thing out my gammon steak egg chips and onions that was cooked well was the gammon steak... The only rings just poured oil into the bowl and I couldn't eat them. Staff in the restaurant were sparse and it was often hard to find someone.
Usual high standard of cleanliness, food and welcome
Nothing really, but i have been staying here for several years, and the same staff have always been there, but this time many were new, and I missed the usual cheery faces.
The location was good.
It wasn't as dirty as the last time but it's still very tired looking and needs a re vamp. The bed was excruciatingly painful,it felt like it was sloping and I was falling out ( my partner's side wasn't as bad). The heating went off over night so as it was thick snow outside it became very cold
The staff were exceptional - very friendly and helpful. The bed was a little too soft but overall the room was very comfortable.
The wifi was very patchy and frequently dropped out.
Breakfast was good, served fresh and hot.Didn't have to wait long for hot food to be served, staff were cortisol & helpful
Bedroom was a bit chilly at first. Not very happy with the lighting situation,,not able to isolate the lights when visiting the bathroom in the night, no slipmat In the bath. Not enough rooms have a walk In shower
Clean, very friendly accommodating staff, ease of checking in and out. Cooked breakfast rather than buffet which is one of the reasons we use this hotel as I am a celiac and buffets are not safe for me
Bathroom needs some care. Mould on the ceiling and cracked tiles.
Decent locationGround floor roomLovely stafff
The property is datedRoom although was spotlessly clean. didn’t smell overly fresh… old dampish smellFood was poor at the event so chose not to bother with the breakfast even though I’d paid for it
Great location for what we needed.
Very very dated and in the room you could hear everything in the corridors and next door. The bathroom also needed some work mould on the seals chipped tiles and found a woodlouse walking about.
The location not far from the motorway the parking as I drove a big 3.5t vanEasy to check inn, breakfast was an option nice to know its available if needed
They didn't have usb sockets in the room for charging up your phone Maybe an upgrade to this, the rooms good to with a touch up on a paint job, but all in all it was a very nice hotel
A warm welcome from the staff
There was a party going on which still seemed to be in full flow at c.0045 and there for could hear the music from room and people returning to their rooms. I guess to be expected at the time of year. The mattress was not as good as our previous stay.
Very Freindly Staff who went above and Beyond to make our visit and Stay Great. We are a Ladies Crown Green Bowling Club, there where 28 of us,we booked a Christmas Lunch + plus afternoon Disco, there where 7 rooms booked for some of us to stay overnight. The food was lovely, if we needed anything to accompany it , we only had to ask(mustard/Cranberry, extra gravy)The drinks were reasonably priced ,again staff were great didn't wait long to be served. When it was time to move out of function room we were shown a bar we could drink and chat in. Our Bedrooms were spotlessly clean and we all had a great nights sleep. 0lenty of Teas, Coffees and Biscuits. The Breakfast choice was a hard one to pick as there were so many nice dishes to choose from.We opted for the full English Breakfast and it was cooked and served within 10 to 15 minutes of ordering. It was Delicious. We will definatley be booking to come back next year, for both meal and stayover. The staff never stopped, but there was not one unhappy face, they were a happy team and they do deserve a pat on the back, from reception, bar, waiting on and cheffing .Couldn't fault them. They did make us so welcome.
No Bottled water in Rooms. The fact that we would be charged £10 per hour for earlier check in.We had to leave our nightime goodies and change of clothes, nightware in cars.
Location
Really dated, beds were uncomfortable, couldn’t have one light on the room it was all or none even the lamp was hard wired with the ceiling lights so they all turn on or off together
