It was a very quick pit-stop en route to Scotland - the location was ideal for breaking up the journeyStaff were welcoming, the rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortableCheck-out was easy

The room was clean and quite comfortable. The food in the restaurant was very nice. The location is ideal for getting about and visiting the wider area

The toilet next to the main were very smelly. It made the whole reception and bar area smell awful. Hopefully, they will have fixed this by now.

it was great having the swimming pool and restaurant on site and easy to get to. Our daughter was sick the morning we were supposed to checkout and when asking the staff if we could have a delayed check out so we could get supplies for the 5 hour journey they were very understanding and helpful.

Housekeeping calls down the corridor at 10:30am on christmas morning!! But it did force me to get out of bed and head to my parents for presents. So it’s not all bad

Sadly the swimming pool was out of action on the day we arrived - one of the main reasons for booking this hotel - but it was fixed by the next day so we managed to have a swim

The staff were absolutely fantastic, particularly Alex at reception. At breakfast the staff were working really hard to clear tables and keep the room clean and tidy. The bedroom was really cosy and comfortable.

None accept good friendly staff at the breakfast.

Not many choices of restaurants in the surrounding. The check in took so long ad we have to wait for hours for them to setup the extra bed. Having to travel a long way and to be waited at the bar for hours long were rather unacceptable. I wish the reception could be more friendlier and helpful.

Wallpaper peeling off the walls in bedroom.Mould on ceiling in bathroom.Curtains way to long for the drop, alot just dragging on the floor.Coffee machine was broken at breakfast the spare one was being used elsewhere so all we could have was Coffee from a packet, when you're paying £15 for a breakfast I would expect more.

Hotel difficult to access off busy roundabout however had good large car park.

Room was excellent value. Chef was ill for breakfast but we had our breakfast money refunded

We chose this hotel for it's vicinity to the A1, but it exceeded all of our expectation - the staff was super-friendly to the children, the hotel was fully decorated for Christmas and we spent 2 hours in the leisure centre - swimming pool, sauna, gym. The room was big and really lovely (bathrobes were a nice touch). Dinner at the bar area was yummy and affordable for a family of 4, plus there was a board game room right next to it. A special shout out to the morning staff at breakfast - the lovely gentleman provided our children with extra extra packets of hot chocolate and just in general really made an effort to bring Christmas spirit to our morning.

Location, price, facilities, We’ve stayed for the last 2 years with friends on New Year’s Day after attending Catterick races

We were in a front room this year, bit noisy by the road , there was a funny smell in the room- either drains or possibly something dead somewhere, told reception in the morning

Staff were very helpful, especially at breakfast.

Only 2 tea bags in the room and 4 small milks. Bathroom was very cold
