- Superb location Excellent views Friendly helpful staff
- friendly staff who wanted to relate
Cons -
- advice on which entrance to take to make parking in the diagonal bays easier
- Nothing comes to mind that I found to speak about.
- Parking wasn't so great but we may have missed additional parking area that wasn't obvious. Didn't find the bath mat until after we had used the shower as it wasn't in an obvious place.

The room (8) was large, with double aspect windows, excellent facilities and a shower with loads of room.
I liked how clean the room and bathroom were, with some nice little attention to details. The bath was a proper bath to relax in without having your knees under your chin or ankles on the bath taps. I would definitely book again.
Nothing comes to mind that I found to speak about.
All the staff are so friendly and helpful. This was our 2nd and definitely not last stay here. Room was clean with excellent facilties and breakfast was very tasty and plenty to choose from.
Only stayed one night but the room was great, nice to see a room with two chairs and plenty of storage. Very quiet, which contributed to a great night's sleep.

It was very close to my work location. The rooms were very warm and cosy with plenty of space.
The conservatory was quite cold but they did have heaters on to try and warm it up.
Breakfast was lovely, the food was fresh and the poached eggs were perfect. The room as well as amazing, so comfortable, I've never been in a room which had a bedroom, living room & bathroom (so to speak), and it's changed my expectations of a hotel room going forward.
Had an issue with the heating at one point where I went looking for a thermostat. Eventually found the knob on the radiator itself. I was also surprised that there wasn't a fridge of some sort in the room. Also the Nespresso coffee pods were decaf only which was disappointing but those last two are nitpicking. The room was great.
Very clean. Comfortable Staff were very friendly Was busy as it was Christmas party time but didn't affect us Good location walking distance to town
Nothing all was good
All the staff were really lovely and I can’t speak highly enough about them! Overall the room was nice and clean. Location wise I thought this place was perfect. About 20 mins by car to Mam Tor / Winnats Pass & Castleton and about 25 mins the other way to Bakewell. In terms of Buxton town centre, it’s literally just round the corner for all the main shops, eateries & the Buxton Crescent Spa too (about 5 mins walk).
the room was superb ,breakfast was excellent ,also we dined in the restaurant on both nights off our stay and the food and the service were excellent, we received a warm welcome at reception on arrival and it continued with all the staff throughout our stay
small point they could have gritted the drive and steps down to the bottom road
Clean, warm and comfortable. Great shower.
Great location and close to the centre of Buxton
The room was cold and the heated towel rail wasn’t working
The reception staff were welcoming and very efficient. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. It was a good price and excellent location (close to the railway station).
Hotel itself is lovely, the staff were exceptionally friendly and pleasant, very good location, the value of the room for the night was really good, the bed was so comfortable and the shower was fantastic.
My only small gripe is maybe the rooms might need a lick of paint here and there but other than that, can’t really complain about anything.
clean room
they didn’t tell us about the private party at the whole downstairs bar room,we had nowhere to sit so we had to go to our room for the whole evening
Nice people, location good for central Buxton by foot. Comfy beds and decent shower. Breakfast good too.
The décor was a little tired in places, but part of the character.
Staff were all lovely it was my 60th and they gave me a card the food and service was excellent.Room was warm and very comfortable.I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
Nothing it was excellent
Parking a challenge but we were lucky with the space we got !The service provided by the staff at breakfast and reception (we didn't eat dinner at the hotel) was exemplary.
A couple of flannels in the bathroom would have been appreciated. Bathroom appeared to have been decorated but it seemed penny pinching to leave rusting chrome rail supports in place. Eyesore and creating stains on the bath rim.
