The location

The room was a really good size and very clean with ample coffee and tea.

The room was big enough to have more storage. A rail with a few hangers was not appropriate for a triple room

It was close to the beach

The bed was uncomfortable due to the mattress topper having sunk at both sides leaving a huge lump down the middle

Staff were amazing and room clean, excellent breakfast!!

Bed base was broken but did not effect comfort or sleep

Such nice people, very welcoming. They have been a great help with our 11-month old. Good location and tasty breakfast.

Most of the staff were very pleasant. The manager was great.Breakfast was good although the scrambled eggs varied from day to dayThe location was fabulous.The restaurant food was good with a good selection

The whole place has so much protentional to be fabulous but needs a complete overhaul and refresh before it can be rated as anything other than 'fair'.The room was very dated and shabby. Beds not very comfortable.For the quality, we found it to be quite expensive, especially compared to another local hotel we stayed at.Being yelled at and called back on day 3 of our 4 days stay, as we were heading out to catch the train and asked to hand back our key, even though it was obvious (no bags) that we weren't checking out. The toast was barely toasted and there were no fresh fruit or pastry options, should we have preferred a lighter breakfast. They also ran out of marmalade which is a breakfast staple.

The staff made you feel welcome it is an old pub but with great character about it. The food was beautiful in the restaurant and breakfast was made to order including continental.

There was a lot of dust in the room , as you probably know the hotel is getting better for wear , and needs a revamp. Then you could certainly put your prices up all due to the location.

The staff very helpful and friendly nothing was to much for them we end up arriving early and they got our room ready for us very good value for money will definitely be back

Breakfast was good, better if it was hot.Male receptionist was friendly, witty and helpful, rest of staff were preoccupied with upcoming wedding preparations, each other and their phones.

Dark and dilapidated vibe. Food expensive with Faulty Towers dining atmosphere.

This hotel is quite charming. Breakfast was included with the room and was cooked fresh and delivered to our table exactly when we wanted. We also bought dinner the night before and it was excellent!

The entrance is at the back of the building so that was a but confusing. I would suggest a sign outside to clearly indicate where you need to go to check in.

Staff stayed up for us to check in. They were great. Room faced water and was a classic older inn.

The ferry wasn't operating from the dock near hotel so we had to drive fast to reach other ferry dock. Otherwise we liked everything!

Such a lovely view. We were very impressed that when we had a problem with our toilet, the manager was able to get it fixed within the hour. That's amazing! Also, when we weren't able to get a meal elsewhere in town and came back to the hotel, but the kitchen had stopped serving (8pm), they took pity on us and sorted out a nice little meal. The sheets were clean and fresh, and the Tunnocks snacks in the room won our prize of Biscuits of the Holiday.

There's a lack of attention to detail. The bathroom door didn't close properly, which could be easily fixed. The pocket of one of the bathrobes was torn, which could be easily fixed. The sheets were clean and fresh and the bathroom was clean, but the wall above the bed was stained and the bathroom fan was fuzzy with dust. The breakfast wasn't very nicely cooked.

Breakfast was good,,, location great,,, evening meal was good food but the portions too large especially the starters !!!

The large bed seemed to rise in the middle so you drifted down to the edge… the bathroom was tiny and,,, couldn’t shut the door properly without banging my knees!!!,,,,half the bathroom was given over to next door,,so it was only 4 x 7 approximate..

Room was very small could hardly move around. Window would not open and very stuffy and hot as very warm .Food was very disappointed. Starters were awful we had spicy ribs but to be fair they did offer me something else. Fish and chips were good Breakfast was ok

The staff were polite and friendly and the breakfast and evening meals in the hotel were delicious

The window in our room had a big open gap in it to outside and was attempted to be sealed up with masking tape but it blew a gale into the room and made the curtains move. Also their was a loud fan blowing by the room until 11pm which was very noisy. And their was no toilet roll holder in the bath room.

The meals were delicious and well presented, staff are friendly ,shona on housekeeping was very helpful, we had view out to the seafront

Thought room very run down. Couldn’t get blind to go up as junction on chain became undone, did ask staff to fix this but was never done. Also the rug in the room was not clean. Breakfast was substantial and plenty but would have preferred a yogurt of some fruit to be available.

The pub of the hotel is excellent, good position in front of the sea e free parking; the room was big enough for 3 people

Very basic accomdation, almost everything inside the room was broken or scratched, linen with holes, poor illumination, exceptionally small sink and the quality of the breakfast is not even close to the one served in the pub. The pics on internet are not accurate enough
