Ruined a special day

The heating hearing did not work, gave us an oil filled heater which did nothing.Then gave us another duvet which made it impossible to sleep as 2 duvets were very heavy.Was supposed to be a special Valentine's day, but was completely ruined.Made complaint to hotel and until now nobody has bothered to contact me.

It was a good location for what we needed, nice rooms friendly staff

The bed had seen better days we both slid into the middle of it!

Parking on site convenient. Nice bar to sit in and quiet.

Heating didnt work, extractor fan in bathroom didnt work either so it was damp and stuffy.Mattress was uncomfortable. Curtains doesnt cover the window so you will wake up as the sunlight comes through in the early morning

Clean and comfy room, spacious with good quality facilities, toiletries and bedding. Shower was lovely. The breakfast had a lot of choice.

Only here for one night and it done the job.

The property was damaged in places.Our curtains were creased awfully. The carpet was dirty.It just felt dirty and unsafe.There were hairs in our bed gross!

The staff was very welcoming, friendly and kind. The room was a good size, bed was on the soft side but comfortable. On arrival the room was very clean with fresh towels ready for us and thankfully tea and coffee making facilities in room. Plenty of plug sockets and storage for clothes etc. I liked that we couldn't hear other guests walking around and the room felt soundproof so we could sleep soundly.

Unfortunately the room service phone in our room didn't work so we popped downstairs to let them know and they said they would pop up the next day and fix it but this didn't happen. I would have liked a few more milk pots as they were so small and it might have been nice to leave a small bottle of water for each guest in the room for each day they are there, just to help kick start the day on a good note.

Walls are so thin that even with our music on at the same level as a TV the door was banged on at 2am telling us to turn it off! We could hear someone else TV

Roxy is an absolute star & asset to that hotel, she was so welcoming amenable & helpful booking taxi for me, finding me a room as mine wasn't ready . Always smiling & engaging. I have re booked this hotel for September & look forward to seeing her smiley face again

The hotel is close to the motorway so handy for travelling. Rooms are clean and quiet. Friendly staff. Food in the bar/restaurant was surprisingly good both for dinner and breakfast

Not much around in the local area unless you're prepared to drive. Rooms are a little dated but comfortable. Parking is a bit tricky during the day due to the other businesses around, but in the evenings

ongoing problem with broken heating at this hotel springs coming through the mattress and sunken beds

The internet is rubbish And shower water pressure in 907 was poor.

The view from the tenth floor room was impressive and the ‘sky’ bar at the top is really cool. The staff on reception were friendly and the room was very clean and quiet.

Not much - the carpets in the public areas were threadbare in places

1. Panoramic views from room. Puts the ‘Holiday’ into the ‘Inn’. Squint - and you could be in LA (La Land).2. Warm & friendly Cannock reception on a Cold & Icy night following a 4hr 30 rammed Sunday train journey.3. When things weren’t working, the fixed the issue immediately without fuss or bother. Full menu wasn’t available on Sunday due to supply on demand,so staff delivered a menu to my door of what ‘was’ available. My TV froze (due to Icy conditions?) so staff replaced the whole TV after trying to fix the remote. Staff recommended Corkys taxi to pick me up at 6:30 on a Monday morning to take me to an important hospital visit - excellent service and arrived early. Complimentary slices of fresh lime provided for my water bottle to take with me to hospital. And this was only a ‘one night’ stay! I felt like I’d been away for a week. Thank you Holiday Inn Cannock Staff for a cleansing/destressing/refreshing pre-major surgery vacation. Just what the Doctor ordered!

No faults at all but maybe ensure HDTV channels are tuned in. No fridge in room? Not sure if this is true of all rooms? Menu choice was tip top and delicious and service and my order to plating up timing was excellent - could do better with presentation of food on plate also trays and cutlery could do with a little investment.

Bed and pillows, very comfortable. Very clean.

Limited vegetarian food options
