    Pros +

    • Good value, decent size with plenty of space and a nice en suite shower. Can’t really fault for the price.
    • The location was good for my purposes.
    • The lady who welcomed us, who showed us to our rooms, served our drinks at the bar and brought our food to us.The room and en suite bathroom were of a good size with a comfortable bed. There was ample room in the car park which was free. We were on our way to Crufts dog show so it was handy there being no charge for dogs.

    Cons -

    • Nothing to complain about
    • I have never known a pub with accommodation that does not do breakfast. I will check more carefully next time but I would not have booked this one if I knew this. The evening meals weren't particularly great, everything I had was freshly microwaved. No one told me on check in that there was no food on Sunday nights. If they had I would have made other arrangements, not been stuck in the middle of nowhere with no dinner. The room wasn't particularly clean and there was no mattress protector on the bed.
    • It was uncomfortably hot in the room, fortunately there was a fan which I kept on most of the time.No plug in the hand wash basin.

    Location

Food only served between 18.00 & 19.30 Room very warm opening the windows made little difference

Lovely little pub, staff are super friendly, very clean, loads of parking.

The room we were in was tiny! All the other rooms were unoccupied, and much bigger than ours, and all looked available so not sure why we weren't given one.Only one towel provided, we had to share as pub was closed in morning No lamps, just the main ceiling light. Also no coat hooks

Cosy and quiet village location. Easy access to Leicestershire Round and Lutterworth

    10TerriPosted on: 12-27-2024

Location, how the entrance to rooms were seperate to bar area so no interaction with other customers. Room was lovely and warm, exactly what we needed all round

Nothing to dislike however Sunday lunch would have been fab but they don’t do them. There is another pub within a minute walking so no real issues at all, just would have been nice to have it where we were staying

Didn't have any breakfast as they don't do it so that was really disappointing .The staff were friendly and helpful and the dinner was good.
