Broadfield Park Hotel by Belvilla

The room was adequate. The surfaces of all the furniture was "sticky". The bathroom needed decorating and both taps in the sink were loose. A hairdryer was advertised as being in the room and there was none.

The room felt like it needed a good clean. The wardrobe/cupboard only housed 2 or 3 coathangers and the furniture was stained. I was thankful to be staying only one night. The location was really the only bonus as it was close to the function I attended.

This is an slightly older property which is ready for updating. The rooms can be a bit small, but it depends which one you get, but are clean. The bedding is very clean. The best part is the breakfast, which is full English and included.

When leaving the property it is next to a school and the road becomes jammed

Perfectly located to the town hall. Clean, warm and friendly staff.

Breakfast; the baked beans were served cold.

It is a property of great character and charm. It has interesting history as it was once a grammar school. It overlooks the lovely Broadfield Park. It is just a short walk away from Rochdale railway station with its excellent rail links including a regular non stop service to Manchester Victoria.

Location

Cleanliness, insects on the bathroom floor

Awesome building

No heating, water was cold. Room dirty and mattress stained. Left instantly and due to Booking.com never ever refunding you took a hit and went to another hotel

It was a cheap place to stay

It was very dated, needs an uplift. Double bed was two single mattresses pushed together and uncomfortable . Bathroom was not the best and mouldy. Empty wrappers left under the desk and it was very noisy above us.

There was a carpark.

The room, the bed, the breakfast, the sink was cracked and the toilet my partner had to fix. It was difficult on the morning to find staff to ask a question and check out. The room was at the top of the stairs so was loud and the walls were thin, could hear people on the toilet, coughing, breaking wind and spitting.

Breakfast was good, choice of cereals and cooked breakfast, juices, tea and coffee.

Was led to believe there was an on site restaurant for meals by the online ad even showed a menu ! there wasn't !So very disappointed that we had to find an alternative to eat !

Great hotel friendly and local

Radiator on too high, Couldn't open windows

Great bit of historical architecture - Lovely old style building and sympathetically brought up to date

Nothing to add

The location was right next to the town, the bedroom was spacious and clean, the hotel was very clean, definitely very good value for money, don't understand why people are being so negative about it with the price you pay what the hell are they expecting. Great value for money.

Nothing not to like

Cheap and cheerful

Needs a lot of tlc but for what we paid and needing it for one night from a works do I can’t really complain for the price. Did what it needed

Quiet and comfortable, cheap and cheerful to lay your head. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Very tired looking and not spotlessly clean.

Beautiful old hotel with a lovely breakfast and nice views

Wider area is a little rundown

There was a bed, which considering the other issues....

I booked this for one of my engineers via Booking.com. Sadly he was unable to locate any staff or Reception to complain about there being no hot water for showering and the heating not working in his room. Breakfast was noticeable by its absence too!

Speedy check in, friendly staff, comfortable room.

Hotel has become very dated which probably reflects the low price. Stayed over many years and it really does need refurbishment. Saying that, I have good memories of previous stays, it's central and convenient.

Very cheap, free parking on site, lovely staff, spacious, warm room. Smart TV in room Close to the town centre. Characterfu LL building. Breakfast included.

Tatty in parts.

The staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was dirty including the bathroom and smelt musty. There was no curtains and just thin blinds so we were awoken as soon as the sun came up. Also the breakfast was not very nice.

The room was great.. it was lovely and warm..didn’t want to leave my room as it was cold outside. Lovely breakfast…excellent value for the money I paid

Nothing really!
