Lovely location in the middle of a small village olde world village pub with accomodation
Road leading into car park full of pot holes
Young staff were really helpful when we arrived the room we were put in was shocking! Mould, plaster hanging off the walls, floor moved significantly when you walked. The write up states newly refurbished
Breakfast was fantastic grat chose
Room 18 was a bite small for two adults but nice clean room overlooking the river
Superb finest suite with bath in the bedroom and separate bathroom. Excellent breakfast in the morning and friendly staff.
When booking we thought we had booked the suite with the bath in the bedroom, but when we arrived we were given a smaller double. It is unclear on the booking.com website whether you had booked this room as this is the first image you see when booking which is why we booked there. However the staff were great and re accommodated us into the room we wanted.
We had our room upgraded free of charge for our anniversary. The decor is lovely and cosy and the staff were friendly.
The barking dog we could hear in somebody’s room.
The breakfast was good and plenty of choice with barista coffee options; service was quick at the bar and at breakfast and the people serving were friendly and helpful. Good central location for prestbury. Car parking is free and plentiful.
Our dog friendly bedroom was very small for the price compared to the website pictures and the bed mattress was soft and very uncomfortable and felt like we were sleeping on springs. There was mould on our bathroom ceiling, the windows were old fashioned and chipped and in need of some updating. There were cobwebs hanging down from the light fitting.
Location was great with lots of parking spaces. Food was great, lots of choice for breakfast.
Didn’t like the metal furniture in the room and lack of wardrobe, it was just a contraption for hanging clothes on. No information about the hotel facilities in the bedroom. Also, the bathroom mirror was too high up, you couldn’t even see the top of your head! Also it was New Years Eve and they had no fraught guiness or bitter so we spent our money at the bar in the Legh Arms.
Great location and breakfast was superb, the selection is vast by the way, but we asked for small portions and got exactly what we asked for.Fresh coffee, make your own toast, pastries, fruit just great.Dinner was pleasant but a limited menu, as is the wine list but, everything was cooked to order and nicely presented.
Rooms are dated, borderline shabby, warm though with great towels and bedding, small but comfy bed.A lot of tlc needed for the room and bathroom though, but there was bottled water though yay!
Location of the property was great
The room we were in room 7 was supposed to be a river view, it was far from a river view, our view was the bins and a flat roof, it states the rooms had been refurbished, this room was in need of a drastic refurbishment, all the decor was outdated, the curtains were letting light in, especially the window at the front door as we had the first room in the Amex, the beds were worn and in need of replacement, I had to sleep on top of the duvet as the mattress was so uncomfortable, I could feel the springs and metal bars from the mattress, when we walked along the floor the furniture actually moved due to broken floorboards, the carpet was outdated and dirty, all furniture outdated and dirty, bathroom was outdated and lots of dirt and mould needed a full refurb, had very little sleep due to mattress and light coming in from outside, we didn’t even wash or have a shower, we checked out at 09.15 and went over the road for breakfast as it was cleaner.I did ask the question on arrival weather they had another room, the reply was no, and there was no conversation to be had.
It was a lovely little place in a beautiful setting.
It was great value for money so as you’d expect it wasn’t perfect. Some furniture in the room looked a little bit tired but it was very reasonable and acceptable.
Location right in the middle of a beautiful village
Road to carpark in desperate need of repair lots of potholes
Such a lovely, comfortable stay. Large room, very quiet and peaceful setting. Lovely big, comfy bed. Clean bathroom. We had a very good night's sleep, followed by delicious breakfast in a beautiful old building. Couldn't ask for more really. Reasonably priced. Polite staff. Added nice setting.
The room was on the hot side of warm, so we turned the radiator down!
Great restaurant for evening and breakfast. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Bedroom and pub were decorated beautifully.
The bed was really uncomfortable so we didn’t sleep particularly well.
Location and staff were friendly and helpful
Rooms were tired and in need of updating and maintenance, rooms very dark, plumbing was questionable, toilet did not flush very well, all areas in need of decoration, bathroom ceiling was in need of repair
The village and location were perfect for attending lapland uk.
An additional bed was not provided for my child when booking was made for 2 adults 1 child (8yrs old). This was promised to be resolved several times throughout the day until finally at 11pm we were told no additional bed was available and the hotel didn't know where the bed intended for our room was. This left us with a small double bed between 3 people. The hotel were also unable to give us another room due to the hotel being full capacity so in the end we decided to leave the hotel at 11.30pm and head home to Scotland. The hotel staff had no way to resolve the issue. The general manager and duty manager were rude when our issue was raised. The general manager stating 'she was not a mind reader' and blamed housekeeping for the lack of bed. When trying to call to discuss the following day it was almost impossible to get an answer on the phone and no callback was given after leaving several messages. The room we were provided was not to 4* standard. There are possibly other rooms in better condition but our particular one wasn't. The carpet, walls, furniture, tiles, divan were all dirty and the wardrobe panels falling off. There was also a fire escape door and exit light within the room next to the bed. This is probably the worst hotel experience I've ever had but one of the most expensive at £225/night. Definitely should've looked more closely at the previous reviews before booking.
Excellent location, our room was a little dated, some mould in bathroom, broken tile on floor, dripping tap, however location and value for money were excellent.
Bathroom dates, running tap, mould.
very poor level of cleanliness, previous occupants underwear left in the room , shower mouldy and carpets not clean or hoovered recently , understaffed and food poor quality I will not return or advise any one else too.
