- The hotel was beautifully stored, comfortable and well staffed. A wonderful stay!
Cons -
- When the heating came on and went off, the grill was right over the bed so it would wake us up.
- Old fashioned room. Not worth the price at all. The 1 bedroom apartment I was initially assigned was falling apart, outdated features, poor lighting and dirty. I was reassigned to superior room which was a little better but not worth the price.
- Food served was a little cold !

Perfect location although car parking is a little tricky ! Staff very accommodating , lively bar . Rooms comfortable.
Food served was a little cold !
Nice spacious room with period features and a comfortable bed and bathtub. The hotel is in a great location, right in the town center with great access to all Cirencester has to offer. The breakfast in the hotel was excellent.
Our room was quite far from the reception and the elevator was broken down, so carrying bags a long way was a bit of nuisance. The room could have had a few more amenities, e.g. refrigerator, bath robes, slippers.
Excellent staff, roomy bedrooms, great location.
The decor, the location and the general ambiance.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The bistro food was excellent, and the staff were so nice. If you are staying in the area, it is a great base for exploring the Cotswolds.
Great location and beautiful lobby area/bar/restaurant. Rooms and hallways need some updating. The bar and restaurant served good food and drinks but it took a long time to get them after we ordered. They are short-staffed.
Excellent dinner, excellent location in the heart of Cirencester.
The entire downstairs was closed for construction. I hope they aren't tarting it up too much and losing any historical character.
The rooms were good and big in size, the breakfast was decent.
The staff especially front desk and the overall service was not up to the mark and least unexpected. There is work going on at the hotel and there are no proper signages even that tells you how to reach the reception. We asked the bell boys for a lift to reach the first floor because my mom couldn't climb the stairs and the lift was a good 1 km walk and some of the staff surprisingly didn't even know how to reach the lifts.
The room was clean and comfortable
Being woke up at 6.30 am loud music coming from the restaurant i also didn’t like that when I ask the manager too turn the music down he said he would but it continued to played untill I checked out earlier than we wanted too before 10 am

DisgracefulJul 2025 • CouplesWe very recently stayed at this hotel for the evening, whilst on a visit to Cirencester Gloucestershire. Upon arriving at reception, there was a small sign, that said the bar area/ dining area would be closed, as it was undergoing refurbishment untill mid September.Where as the room was fine, what the receptionist didn't mention, is that you get woken up up at just gone 7am, by the most horrific banging, and drilling, so loud in fact, that the room literally " shook" it was actually like an " earthquake"'. 4 hours that went onfor, check out was at 11am! | brought the matter up with the same receptionist, as I found it unbelievable that we were not warned about this, £250 we paid for that ridiculous experience. I have sent emails to the hotel, which have been completely and utterly ignored, requesting a refund, or even a partial refund for what we were subjected to after paying all that money. I have heard nothing back. If you are thinking of staying in Cirencester, I would Absolutley avoid this hotel. As the building work is going on to mid September, and we weren't warned about this, so it's only right we pass on this information to others. I have sent video evidence of this to the hotel, and they have not even had the courtesy to respond.
Room was fabulous for three friends to share.Breakfast was very goodService from every staff member was excellent
Jackie, Kimberley, Bergot (forgive me if I misspelt the lady's name) & Darren were engaging and offered a warm welcome. I received advice and assistance with my visit. My room was quickly changed when I mentioned a disturbing noise in the infrastructure - perhaps a refrigerating A/C compressor; I was offered a room with a view, overlooking the market place. In the restaurant, Tabatha was a most wonderful host. So, a big thank you. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the service, complete with proper cotton napkins, was superb. In my room the linen was ample & oozed of quality. I liked the heater frame in the bathroom too.
The room doors could not be locked from the inside! In all my frequent travels & hotel stays, this design is a first. It meant that the cleaning lady just burst into my room one afternoon and apologised profusely for the intrusion. 2. Off site parking. 3. Little details like - the light for the shaving mirror never worked, no face wash offered, some stains on the carpet, no complimentary fresh milk in the fridge for the tea or coffee - minor issues.
Professional, courteous and genuine.Nothing too much trouble!
Dirty windows on outside!
Great location in the centre of town, so all amenities are easily accessible. Lovely room with a very comfortable bed, a large bathroom, and a fridge with fresh milk.
If I was being super critical, I would say I didn't like the horrible view of the staff car park and 'dump' from the room (Bespoke 2) but I wasn't in the room for long and at least it was quiet at night. The lighting was ok, but better bedside lamps would make reading in bed easier.Ideally, I'd like breakfast to be included in the room price.
The location was exceptional, right in the heart of Cirencester. Our room was incredible, the hotel have styled everything to combine modern and used all of the wonderful features of this old building. The welcome on reception was wonderful and the bar staff made great cocktails. Breakfast was also lovely.
We stayed on a Saturday night, so be warned about noise from the street if you like the windows open!
Lovely hotel, central location, staff were brilliant! Even upgraded us for my Birthday ❤️
Nothing .. it was all exceptional !!
Very central. On a Main Street in the town but very quiet. We were spending a few days travelling around the Cotswolds so it was a great base for that. Lots of coffee shops and nice restaurants around.
No parking. Hotel should stamp a parking ticket or cover the cost of the parking for the stay. It was a pain having to run out and find a space and put money on a ticket. It was a worry for us to make sure we were not late having to top up parking ticket.
