The Forge

Location, staff were friendly and helpful, food was great quality, we stayed in suite and loads of room with lovely views to Whitby one side and the moors the other side. Bus stop just few steps up the road which we used to go to Whitby not having to worry about car parks.

Really handy for going into Whitby. Just a short drive. Nice quiet location, good food, staff were friendly & approachable.

Lovely nights stay at the Forge. Great location just outside Whitby. We chose to eat in the restaurant on the evening we stayed and the food was excellent. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

Breakfast was great if you like a good English but was no fruit or yoghurts to choose from or a good dish of porridge

Beautiful location, excellent service, super friendly staff and superb food. Very welcoming locals - shout out to Tom & Mike. The lady was brilliant in looking after us, as was the gentleman for breakfast in the morning. The open fire, dartboard and ambience made you feel like a local. From the 2 guys on the motorbike

Beth, the owner was just lovely. Nothing was too much trouble and she was so attentive. The food was chef’s standard, delicious and extremely generous.

The bed was small but, to be honest, we’re used to a king size. There was a permanent light in the room which was a nuisance but not awful.

Room could do with a smart TV as ours was dated and signal was poor..other than that 10/10.

Everything, staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The Forge is situated a short distance from Whitby so not far on the bus or by car . Food is amazing the pub has a lovely atmosphere, a very comfortable place to stay.

There is nothing to dislike about this property.

Feels like a homely local inn, people very friendly, a great atmosphere in the pub and exceptional room. Love to stay again.

Climb up the narrow stairs with suitcase was a bit challenging but only do it twice. Nature of the building and not actually a complaint.

The staff were welcoming and friendly. The suite we had was lovely and spacious and was very quiet. Plenty of options for breakfast which was very tasty.

This is personal to me but would have liked more fried bread with my breakfast and and maybe hash browns but again that's me personally and not a reflection on the fantastic breakfast I had

The room was not warm enough for us Couldn't get the electric heater to work. this was complicated and no instructions
