Perfect place to be very central
Noise from outside but it is in middle of shops so cant expect it to be quite
cosy warm room staff friendly and efficient nice touch with the crisps and porridge , great central location
Location was great, staff were lovely x
Rooms need a little TLC.
The accommodation was clean basic with friendly and polite staff.
Due to the age of the building we could hear the occupants of the room next door.
Great little bar in a fantastic location close to other bars, restaurants and shops. Just a couple minutes walk to the 199 steps up to Whitby Abbey.
A location that couldn't be more central. A clean comfy room and good bed. Given that it's a proper "pub with rooms" a lot depends on the pub downstairs. It was cosy, friendly, busy without being overcrowded, and with a good selection and great cold snacks/light meals.
One very minor point. As I was there in winter it would have been nice to have a hook on the back of the room door or in the bathroom for an outdoors coat/jacket rather than having to put them in the wardrobe.
The welcome pack. The location. Cosy room.
Toilet seat chipped. Noise from adjoining rooms.
Location and friendliness
May be noisy for some but it didnt bother us
Great value. Comfortable. warm. Tea/ coffee bisc. Hairdryer & iron available. Great shower. Water hot. It's an historic building so there are uneven stairs & floors but all adds to character. Great stay just accept the beauty & uniqueness this amazing place
