Pros +
- Spacious room. Very clean and comfortable. Very good facilities (iron, coffee and biscuits, hairdryer, toiletries, etc)Very nice cocktails at the bar and good food menu.Great location
- Nice hotel, good food.
- Not recommended
Cons -
- The check out is a bit early at 10am . Usually hotels have an 11am check out and although one can stay longer, there an extra charge. Because the cost of the room is not cheap, it would add up to it.
- The parking was non existent after advertising parking. We had to park off site. The driveway was gravel, not great for the bags.
- The room was outside the main building, you have to through garbage barrels and use steel stairs to reach your room, I could not stay so I left although I paid for 2 nights.

Location is great
Very loud music playing until really late. Room dirty.
Location was perfect for us
Room was very clean but lacked storage and you had no privacy when the curtains were open and there is fire doors everywhere to get to your room the bar is very overpriced and so is there breakfast which if ridiculous shower was really bad aircon unit didn't work properly
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfy.
Would have been nice if a cooked breakfast was an option with the stay.
The property was clean, tidy and well decorated, a lot of thought had gone into the process of this hotel
The only thing that I did not like about it was when you arrive with your bags you have to walk into the Pub area to the reception where everybody’s drinking and staring at you with your bags, it’s like doing the walk of shame LOL
The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and excellent value for money. The hotel is well situated for exploring Newmarket and parking was not a problem. Staff are friendly and welcoming and thoroughly recommend the cocktail menu!
The room was very basic and not what I expected. Lino on the floor as they changed me to a ‘dog’ room and it didn’t have a carpet. It was cold during the night. The bar and the food stopped early without notice, very annoying. The duty manager did cook me something, which was OK .
See above comments. It’s all mixed up. Sorry. No staff on site during the night (there was a phone* number to call but not sure anyone could manage that in the night) and the doors were heavy and very tricky to use. I didn’t have enough hands to deal with the doors and my dog and bags etc.I didn’t order any breakfast?PS you needed to use your own phone to call for help!! The ‘dog’ rooms are called Superior rooms?and cost more too.
Staff were friendly. Nothing else
Every thing, for the price I paid for one night I could have rented a caravan and been more comfortable. Would not recommend this to no one, disgraceful price, no privacy and extremely loud . Can hear as much as the room next to you sneezing . Not to mention that the rooms are also tiny .Do not stay here
Good location.
It was very expensive for what it was. Bathroom very small
Very nice spacious rooms with great facilities, everything was clean and presentable
Location was where needed to be. The staff were really friendly and very helpful.
There was a stale smell from the drains in the ensuit. White vinegar needs to be poured down the drain.
Room was clean and comfortable.
Being picky, but there was a wet towel in the bath and I would have liked the chance of a cooked breakfast.
Staff were lovely.
The room, although a single room , it was ridiculously small and uncomfortable for the price charged definitely not worth it and shouldn’t be sold as accommodation in a “hotel”.
Location
First to access our room we had to go back outside the hotel & climb two lots of Rusty steps while carrying luggage. On checkout yesterday it was quite scary walking down these steps as it was raining while again carrying luggage. The room was adequate but the radiator didn’t work so the room was cold. The shower cubicle was minute & the shower was very under power & poor. However, nobody warns you about the nightclub next door that blasts out loud music till4am. This was unbearable & impossible to sleep. How on earth the hotel can charge you £445 for two nights is beyond me & would never return
Location, quiet room, good food. Happy helpful staff. Great to have toaster & microwave
Towel rail was always stone cold. No where to hang hand towel. Bath towel never dried
Was able to get a room at short notice and for a sensible price. I honestly can’t think of anything else positive to say. It wasn’t noisy and they had a fridge in the room. The bed was clean, but that should be a given, not a bonus.
Well, having to clean the floor of the toilet before daring step in it wasn’t good. It was a kind of yellowy brown colour on the wet tissue. I used the bizarrely provided sponge and fairly liquid(?!) to clean it. And on top of that, it was very clear from the stains immediately around the toilet as to what had been done in there and that it had not been subsequently properly cleaned.I wasn’t there to watch TV, but a TV that only gets a signal for a few seconds every few minutes is pointless. It was clearly a store cupboard repurposed as a room and was exceptionally small and the hand basin was next to the bed. The shower did work, but I endured two minutes of cold water before thankfully some warm water came through. In the morning I knew to turn it on a few minutes before getting in. Also, as the shower was actually in the room, as was the toilet, my shower completely steamed up the whole room. Not a massive issue, but it shows why you usually have doors on bathrooms. The car park was undersized, so I had to park in the high street and make two long trips with my belongings. And to be honest, I actually thought it might be best as I could see that someone could quite easily block all other cars in. And I had an early start the first morning. When first arriving at a pretty reasonable time of just before 8pm, there was nobody to be found in the reception or at the bar area. I actually left again to go and move and fetch some stuff from my car before going back to see if any staff had appeared.Maybe you get what you pay for, but whilst it was not expensive, it was not cheap enough to make up for its various shortcomings - excuse the pun.
Passable
The bedroom felt like a converted cupboard. It was very small, and the bed was really uncomfortable. No air con despite a notice in front saying fully air conditioned. Noisy too from units located just outside windows, 1 of which I could open for more air, and one that I couldn't close. It was clean though. No parking either, and had to walk down a shady alley from car park to hotel.
The room was remarkably large as needed three single beds, very large room with elegance. Beautiful building.Outside space for seating was superb, heated areas with large umbrellas.
