Pros +
- Location. Cleanliness of all contact points.
- the location was good.
- We were told the bar was open till 12 30 but shut at 11 30 , bar manager not very helpful when questioned about it, will not stay again,
Cons -
- Scruffiness of decor and carpet.
- This isn't an appropriate place to stay with children at the weekend. There was constant door slamming until 3am on Sunday morning. There was a strong smell of weed in the corridor, unacceptable. there didn't seem to be any staff on site to deal with the situation.
- Don’t tell customers incorrect information, spoilt or weekend.

The price..to expensive for a single traveller..
Staff friendly, good atmosphere. Food was good, breakfast and evening meal
Room a bit worn looking, couldnt get cold water, both taps were warm. Tv signal not good
The location. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot
The radiator made strange noises which meant we had to turn it down overnight and so it was a bit cold. Also the floorboards creaked which was very noisy very early morning as some other guests went out from about 5 30.
Good beds. Big room. Clean. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Big car park.
Bit old fashioned
The room was OK so was parking, breakfast was good.
Didn't like the fact the rooms are above the bar, they had a dj, it was very noisy. So I think the guests should be warned of functions being on. Before arriving. No lifts only stairs
Ideally located with car parking
Breakfast problem and delays as chef did not arrive on time
It's location.
Not the standard I expected from Marston Hotels having stayed in quite a few. Very badly needs a complete refurb. Possibly last redecorated around 30yrs ago! Strange when you have a road of multi million £ properties just mins walk away. Saturday night had loud music that you could hear upstairs until 1am Sunday morning. Breakfast was very poor with little choice and no offer of cooked. Would definitely not stay here again.
Evening meal - I asked the girl behind the bar for the Mega mixed grill but she said it wasn't available as it wasn't in the till so I asked if she would check, which she did & cam back and said that it was, so, I ordered "Cauliflower in fried bread crumbs as a starter &"Mega Mixed grill" for my main. I was asked how I would like my meat cooked, I said rare. The meal took quite a while to be brought to my table and both my starter and main meal arrived at the same time. I found the meat was far from rare and if anything, could be described as "over cooked". When one of the young staff came over and asked if everything was OK, I explained my feelings, showing him the "overcooked meat, which I did not eat. He said he would inform the chef and when asked why both my courses came together he said that it was just the way the chef did it.
The young staff seemed to spend quite a lot of time on their phones
Location friendly clean room.
They had a band in only told on arrival so it was like sleeping in a nightclub! You can hear everything on the second floor. Sounded great fun but wasn’t what I was expecting.
Loved the location and the beds are super comfy!
The paintwork in the room was very chipped and the paper, in some places, torn and tatty. It is definately in need of some attention.

Location, staff & cleanliness
Tv didn’t work (no signal) and toilet cistern was constantly refilling with water & noisy
Staff were very helpful and friendly. A decent cooked breakfast too.
Some of the decor needs refreshing but for the price it's a bargain.
Very clean bedroom and bathroom. A welcoming greeting upon arrival.
Overall property is a bit worn down, however, it added to the charm of the place!
Very nice bar and meal ,enjoyed the darts and pool table ,friendly atmosphere
The live music seemed to be right underneath us until midnight ,could have done with being further away from it.
Cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff, breakfast
Noise outside the window from extraction fans
good location-breakfast fresh
Very tired -noisy particularly doors and floors no soundproofing.
