The Beach Hotel

It was clean, good location.

Thin duvet, no blankets.Poorly maintained windows which banged all night.Radiator off, so either a thin duvet, no blankets & gaps in the windows, I had no sleep.

The staff are friendly, the hotel is lovely and warm. Our room had a bath which was lovely after being out in the cold and rain. There was a good choice for breakfast and the food was lovely, even my dog was given a sausage.

Everything, Comfortable beds ,clean room,Great staff,Lovely breakfast, Can't wait to stop again .

No usb ports. No streaming on TV. Cafetiere provided which is great but the coffee for it was terrible.

Great location for parkrun tourism.Lovely staff, very friendly and welcoming. Our room was larger than expected and the bathroom was really clean. Tea & coffee was well stocked and we were given a glass bottle of fresh milk which was a lovely touch.Limited parking, we got a space but there's a large car park close by.The hotel is involved in several community social programmes so it was great knowing by staying there we were helping the local community.

There wasn't anything to not like.

Location

The noisy and excessively long running fan in my bathroom. Hot water pulsed so you had to step into and out of the shower as it went hot and cold.

Hotel lovely. Large comfortable rooms and good facilities. Great Breakfast and nothing too much trouble for the staff. Minehead great as ever. Good selection of Pubs and Restaurants within walking distance and plenty of local shops to brouse.

Access to a plug near a mirror for hairdryer would be a plus. Parking could have been better especially for disabled access. Also check in was a bit random because of the nature of the operation. Some advice in advance of where to announce your arrival would be useful to offset the fact there is no manned reception. Just a thought!

We have stayed at this hotel twice now and couldn't fault it, its clean, staff are friendly and a lovely breakfast to see us off for the day

The experience as a whole was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. They were knowledgeable and took time to talk to us. The room was simple but had everything you needed for a night away. Breakfast was amazing, cooked fresh and was a decent size. The location is great, right by the seafront, a short walk to the local facilities. It has a small car park but there is a public car park right next to it. We will definitely be staying again

Very close to everything and great views

Some staff could have been a bit friendlier. We came back quite late and were not that accommodating or helpful. But besides that fantastic

We love staying here ! The staff are lovely , comfortable rooms , sea views , and dog friendly ...they even offer a sausage for the dog at breakfast. Highly recommend a stay here .

Good initial meeting with reception, all information given clearly.Room was clean and comfortable and fitted our needs, especially as we have a dog.Breakfast was good with a selection of meals available

Staff all very friendly & breakfasts were excellent. Handy for visiting local tourist locations & for the beach.

The Beach Hotel is a very attractive period property in a brilliant location. We had one of the large corner rooms that had a sea view. It was lovely seeing the sun rise and set on the horizon. The hotel is close to all the amenities Minehead has to offer and there is plenty to do in the area. The breakfasts are exceptional with fantastic vegetarian options that my daughters loved because “they weren’t trying to be a non-meat imitation, they were a unique dish”. Lots of choice on the breakfast menu which suited even the picky eater in our group. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely be staying there again. Loved it!

It was a bit annoying that they insist on filling out your following day breakfast order but then there is often no one around to take the order. Could you not just give the forms for the next day out at breakfast and maybe a box to return them to?A large tree right outside the window of two of rooms blocked out most of the daylight but I guess there’s not much the hotel can do about that.

It wasn't a dislike, but in the interest of the review, a dripping shower that others had moaned about. However, this was easily resolved by adjusting the selection lever on the tap, to allow the drip to leave the tap and not the showerhead

All is excellent that's why we like coming again and again. Everything is 10/10 and we noticed at this time of year how warm and cosy it was . Always perfect

All of our stay ,nothing was a problem . We wouldn't stay anywhere else in this are and have recommended it to others who have enjoyed it also .

Clean spacious room, excellent breakfast

We were given a key to the patio door to get in at the end of our night. The key didn't open the door as it was locked with a different key, we were locked out, we banged on the door but no response so one of our party got in at the back of the hotel and managed to get us in.This was very inconvenient if he couldn't get in we would have been locked out for the night.We were outside for some time, no emergency number displayed.
