Gym and pool available to use albeit the gym is very very basic. Nice garden. Parking included.

Stood in reception for what seemed like forever before anyone noticed I was there.

Friendly Staff, lovely food, enjoyed watching the Lionesses win the Euro’s with other guests too!Kids loved the pool and the dog loved the garden ❤️

Excellent location with a cut thru the garden to avoid the hill walk back up. Garden area was fabulous with plenty of seating available, I would rate this better than a 3 star more of a four.

Not once did we see the bar open or indeed anyone behind it .... not a big drinker but it would be nice to sit on the terrace with a beer on occasions. In our room (14) little easy repairs could have been completed ... drawer handle broken, toilet roll holder very lose and the brackets on the underside of the toilet seat broken in places, very simple repairs.

Pleasant and helpful staff

Very dated, shower dirty, anti slip mat had mold around suckers. End of curtains in bedroom hanging off the rail. Water bottle supplied had rust marks around neck. Sink slow to drain away. Unbelievably very small TV. Chairs in the dining room were fake leather, that was all cracking and aged. Decoration extremely dated.

Was told - table would be set up for breakfast & this wasn’t done.Swimming pool closed when we wanted to use it, but not told about this when checked in.Charge for dog was expensive - what this goes on I don’t know??? & they don’t get any thing for breakfast unless you ask. House keeping not as good as previous visits, extremely late for room being clean & feel this only happened because we asked , had to constantly ask for decaf coffee, coffee, biscuits/ none in room. It appears there are almost all new members of staff & they don’t know what they are doing!

The rooms are spacious and well equipped.

The hotel is old and has seen better days. The carpets are old and worn and severely stained. This hotel has a lot of potential, but it needs some love and attention.

The garden and indoor pool. The evening meal was very reasonably priced.

We loved the premises and our room, which was spacious and comfortable, and the great view was much appreciated. The swimming pool, steam room, and jacuzzi were brilliant, and we loved how they were included in the price. The location is great, only a few minutes walk to the beach and centre of Minehead. The gardens looked great too. There are two options for eating at the hotel- one more relaxed with cheaper prices and another in a classy restaurant, all on the premises. We didn't make use of these as we were on a budget. Would come back!

I just felt like they could do with a deep clean of carpets, nooks, and cranies where dust had collected etc. Maybe a little refresh of deep cleaning and touch-ups would be good by people with an eye for detail. Shower does go off at 11pm and can be cold from time to time because of old boiler system.

Location was great. The pool facilities was a bonus. The bed was large compared to a double. The staff have been so helpful and friendly ☺️

A little dated carpets ect but didn't bother us overall.

It was an easy walk to the Butlins site. The gardens were lovely. The food at the evening meal was way above the 3 star rating of the hotel.

The lift doors are very heavy for the older person to use.

Friendly helpful staff great location car parking was free great facilities gym pool Steam room (jacuzzi was closed ?) room was clean and tidy & comfortable with nice views up the coast food was10/10 and table service was how it should be so many hotels cut back on table service thees days,I would definitely stay again

It's a shame there was no fish on the breakfast menu especially as Minehead has a fishmonger at their Friday Market it would be a nice touch

Incredible location with beach nearby, dog friendly and pool with jacuzzi and steam room were amazing.

Only issue was random cost for the dog coming with us. There was no option on booking.com to add the dog and when we arrived and announced she will be staying with us, no cost was mentioned. Was only told we had to pay £30 for 2 nights on our last day. Didn’t mind paying of course as it’s still good value but it would have been nice to have been warned.

Our room was too hot
