Pros +
- The location and the food was incredible, the staff were lovely and very attentive.
- The location for a very quiet weekend was perfect. Right on the coast path and just by the little harbour. The staff were so friendly and could not do enough to make out stay enjoyable and the food is fantastic.
- Wonderful breakfast evening meal fantastic
Cons -
- Very windy so door rattled a bit but sea was spectacular
- Dinner first night - my only slight criticism was the odd combination of tortelloni and mashed potatoes served with the fillet steak. There was way too much food on the plate! However the steak was perfectly cooked.
- Breakfast service was a bit slow though chef did apologise

Exceptionally friendly, efficient staff. A fabulous atmosphere.Breakfast was beautifully cooked and a good choice. Our room was lovely and comfortable with an amazing view right on the sea front.Dinner both nights was very good - just one slight negative comment below.

The location right on the harbour is fantastic, the hotel is an old traditional building but with modern facilities, the food was delicious and staff helpfull and polite, nothing not to like

Friendly hotel staff
I would rather have had a room in the main building, especially in December when the weather wasn’t great for part of the stay and the hotel was quiet. Nothing wrong with our room itself that we did have.
Lovely location, great breakfast and very friendly staff.
The view was amazing , the staff couldn’t have been friendlier, beautifully furnished throughout!Food amazing on the evening and breakfast was beautiful nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful staff here !
There was nothing we didn’t like .
This place is a little haven , as soon as you drive up to the hotel you see the fishing boats outside amd the sea , your welcomed by a lovely lady called Alison. We had a drink first before booking in , a very relaxed hotel with sofa s and log fire. Our room was small but had everything we needed , it also had white company toiletries in bathroom. Evening meal was amazing , my husband had the mussels to start then the lamb , I had chicken . The breakfast also was lovely , you do have to pay it come to £45 which is rather steep but we enjoyed it .
There was nothing we did not like about this lovely hotel
a larger room than on previous visits.a bath!!!!!!!!fresh fruit in the room on arrival.relaxed times and table choice due to quiet part of season
pea shoots, with everything.please no, not a fan, even served with breakfast
Outstanding location in regard to the picturesque position. Right on the slipway of the small port, absolutely stunning. Staff were helpful & very friendly, can’t fault them. Exceptionally clean room, lovely bedding etc.
Very isolated, miles from anything really. Cost of the food is expensive but seems to be the same everywhere in the area.
The location is lovely for a start, the room and facilities are great and the staff are both friendly and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
The bill was wrong (in our favour, I should add - we weren't charged for dinner) but it took time to sort out at checkout.
Staff were amazing and the food was also amazing and the location is amazing
The mattress was to hard for my liking and the white light bulbs rather than warm light bulbs could be something to look to improve what is a lovely place if I were being constructive; however, these things did not detract from what is an amazing place with amazing staff and food.
Helpful staff, cleanliness and ambience. Loved the location with great views and right next to coastal path.
Breakfast very nice but expensive if you are not a cooked breakfast person.

Great location terrific building. Really friendly staff.
We were recommended this hotel as part of our honeymoon trip to Cornwall. Fantastic hotel overall and beautiful setting! Lovely bedroom with everything we needed. Appreciated all the little luxurious touches such as white company toiletries and nice bedding/towels.Plenty options for breakfast and service was fantastic.
Sample dinner menu online was priced much lower than the menu when we were having dinner (average main course around £32), service on the first night was great but second was unfortunately very poor in comparison.Roads to access hotel not ideal (very narrow) and limited car parking at hotel. Single glazing windows in bedroom rattled slightly but not a deal breaker for us.
