The Royal Duchy Hotel

The pool an dsauna etc were good, especially after a long travel. Parking was easy, Breakfast was good, the doorman and all the staff were very polite, weloming and helpful. very good location, lots of good walks.

the bed was a little hard and the room a little cramped but we had a good time and very much enjoyed our stay.

Being picky, at breakfast we were shown to a table next to another couple. I asked if we could move one table away which as free and set for two so we had a little more privacy. The waitress said no, as set for dinner. I said you only needed to remove the wine glasses and it would be identical to the one we were given. The waitress still refused. You need to be more flexible, even though 'inconvenient'.Ordered toast, but none came. Breakfast buffet cleared away rather smartish. Went for some croissants just before 10, to find they had gone.TV cable in room 107 hanging down. Unsightly. None of the above spoilt our stay. Just saying...

Like many older hotels guests are.trestef like hot house plants! The rooms had no air-conditioning and the windows only partially opened.

It was stunning looking place in a love seaside town beautiful views nice clean rooms really comfortable bed nice hot shower/bath lovely polite staff and breakfast was really nice buffet with fresh cook breakfast of your choice from menu

The staff couldn't have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Location is superb. Room was very comfortable. Very good menu for the restaurant and terrace and the food was delicious. A very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The reason for the low score is the loud music from a xmas party downstairs, I complained a week ago but no one has bothered to reply to my email. I have chased them twice. Unacceptable customer service.
