Rooms were very tired and
Lovely old building in a well tended garden. Staff were delightful.
Our shower felt cramped compared to most contemporary hotels.
Good food, pleasant surroundings and staff were excellent.
Room 21 needs updating and noise can be heard from other rooms. There is no pathway from the car park to the main road making pedestrian access difficult. Drinks in the hotel are pricey. WiFi in parts of the hotel is weak and slow, it doesn’t take much to sort this out.
Beautiful view and location. The food was great and the facilities were alright. The burgers are incredible! Staff are lovely and friendly. Will the waiter was absolutely fantastic! A complete gentleman yet someone you can have a great chat and a laugh with. He works incredibly hard and definitely deserves a promotion or raise! He was great with our son who is an absolute chatterbox.
The jacuzzi felt hotter than the sauna. The main pool and the sauna were fantastic but the temperature of the Jacuzzi made it very hard to relax in it. Other than that there's no complaints.
The staff were all wonderful. Super friendly and helpful. Only to be let down by the product they're offering.
What would have been a once beautiful building is now let down by the general appearance and Maintenance. It's just very tired and a little run down. So having said that we thought it was on the expensive side.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Prompt responses to emails. Breakfast was also good.
Rooms are very dated and chairs are stained. Thin walls so quite noisy. Mattress was very hard.
The room size and pool area were nice as it wasn't too busy and had a sauna and jacuzzi. The breakfast was well enough to suit anyone's needs with a buffet and special order selection.
No AC so you have to leave the windows open which wouldn't be so bad except for the family of seagulls that live on the roof and make sure you know it.
A little tired but very very welcoming. Clean and efficient. Great location and although untested a great-looking pool and gym.
A little tired but I think the new owners are making huge efforts to bring it up to a v high standard

Mean twin room when others available Old spong beds
I loved the Georgian staircase and some of the old features. The staff were all really friendly. The garden was pretty.
The decor in the room was very tired and dated and the walls were paper thin. I felt the room despite the fact I paid for an upgrade really small and didn’t feel like an upgrade at all. I didn’t feel it was worth what I paid for. The water came out tepid for the bath too.
Room was perfect, for one night. We needed a place to stay after a concert in town. We had one room with one double and one single bed. Good sized bathroom. Perfect for what we needed. The staff were lovely and friendly.
The cooked buffet breakfast isn't great. Eggs were rubbery and powdery, sausages are cheap but it is included in the price I paid so we had it.
The hotel and garden were larger than expected. There was a touch of relaxed elegance with the pleasant patio and very spacious lounge's comfortable seating and pleasant outlook. Reminiscent of former days with a modern touch!A large nicely furnished room which was serviced daily. Attentive staff, very good full English breakfast nicely served, beautifully laid tables (lovely white linen cloths!).
No improvements to suggest.
Pool was good breakfast was really good.the service was fantastic
The breakfast was great and the staff were very helpful too, we had an issue with the room but it was solved immediately by the staff.
It was ok
The place is amazing and the view and gardens
The place is amazing the place is not the problem the seagulls are the problem
Friendly Ness of the staff and breakfast was good
The carpets around the hotel looked like they hadn't been cleaned which made it feel like the rest of the hotel was dirty when it wasn't
Nice view the place is amazing but seagulls are a problem especially with you car with bird ???? All over your car
Great to sit down somewhere to have a drink and relax in the bar
The breakfast was better than last time we stayed there. Except the fried egg was not runny.
Our room was a budget room. The mattress was very uncomfortable. The toilet hadn't been cleaned properly. There was pooh around the rim when we arrived. The toilet flush went on for ages after flushing. The plug hole n the bath was loose. No extractor fan so room and bathroom floor condensated up!
