Pros +
- Location
- We stayed on Valentines Day and it was a great little visit. The room was cosy, without being too small. A clean simple double bedroom size with a fairly tiny shower room (but fine for what you need it for – showering and washing) situated in a surprisingly large hotel about 10 minute walk from the town centre. From the moment we arrived and parked with no problem, we were made to feel welcome. The TV in the room was small but we weren’t there to watch TV, although I did manage to fit in a viewing of ‘Rambo’ while my girlfriend took a nap. Comfortable bed and an adequate selection of foods at breakfast to set us up for our morning journey really finished off a great stay in this traditional and practical hotel.
- The staff were very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.. We had a room on the ground floor whuch was ideal as stairs at our age is a challenge The location was ideal for our requirements. We will stay there again.
Cons -
- Very thin walls and we were disturbed by neighbours' conversations, TV and noises in the bathroom. Not pleasant.
- A net curtain in the bedroom window would be nice, rather that have to pull the blind down for privacy.
- Nothing, it was perfect for us.

Nothing, it was perfect for us.
The bed was comfortable.
The room had the tiniest window, stools for bedside tables, no wardrobe or clothes hangers only a coat stand, broken coffee machine and DIY egg boiler.
The Staff, especially those at reception, were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was perfect in every aspect. The location, the bed, the breakfast, the room were all excellent.
accurate pictures, staff was lovely, very comfortable beds, great wifi, good breakfast
there was a hair in the shower when we got there so not the best but i overlooked that and the rest was great! slight damp smell but u cant help that in the uk i guess
The hotel appears freshly renovated, thoughtfully balancing modern updates with respect for its age and original features. Parking is a great option, and we also noticed charging points available. Even though we stayed for just one night, it was a relaxing and pleasant experience.Breakfast could be more varied, particularly with more vegetable options, but we understand that it was the 1st of January and a challenging day for staff to operate in the usual way.
Hard pillows, falling down towel holders no shelves in the bathroom,
The staff were all wonderful. The rooms were well equipped and comfortable (lovely tea and biscuits!). I stayed for two nights so on one night I had one of the fantastic pizzas available in the hotel's bar and on the other night I walked 5 minutes to the Thomas Daniell for a meal which was also fab - recommend both and the proximity of the hotel to the Thomas Daniell is a big selling point for me. Breakfast each day was great - generous and I loved the "boil your own eggs". Gorgeous decor. Ideal as it has parking but is also walking distance of the city centre.
Nothing. Due to the age of the building there is no lift so there are a few stairs depending on where your room is. Not a problem for me but worth noting if you have a lot of bags or if accessibility is a factor.
Our room was very spacious. The bed was massive and comfortable and the pillows and linen were quality. The staff were friendly and attentive.
I would have liked a little ventilation in the room, but the sash windows we painted up and couldn't be opened. The music in the bar was not quite our to our liking. Neither was enough of a problem for us to mention to the staff.
The only staff member - Elliott - was brilliant. Very helpful, informative etc. Couldn't fault him. Locality - excellent, Parking excellent.
Our room was very cold. ( when the outside temperature was only 5 deg. )The room was a bit stark - could have done with colour, and maybe curtains instead of just a blind.
Very clean/ facilities are good/ staff very pleasant and friendly/ location.
Staff were fantastic. Really attentive.Breakfast superb.
Bath but no shower
Quite a good position for the theatre. Clean.
Breakfast was very poor
-Very friendly and helpful staff-Lovely Scandi decor-Zen ambiance
-The tea was too weak for my taste-I did miss a cooked breakfast!
The staff is wonderfully supportive of my stay. They extended their time by advising me on dinner and transportation.
Missing small things like washcloth and tissue in the room.
Easy check in and out, large room with lovely large windows which let in lots of natural light. Nice staff and short walk into Truro.
The bathroom fan wasn’t very effective making the bathroom very wet when showering. We felt the layout of the room was a little strange as the first thing you see when opening the door to the room was what felt like an office kitchen. It was very practical but it wasn’t very in keeping with the decor and we were a bit confused when we first walked in. A little heads up would have probably helped with this as the actual set up wasn’t bad at all.
Loved the property Clean and tidyParking was greatStaff very friendly
Nice styling to main areas and bedroom itselfFriendly and helpful staffClean
Poor sound insulation. Woken by coughing and next rooms extractor fan'Large' room not that big. Smaller than a Premier Inn room. Dated 80s bathroomNo cooked breakfast options For 159, very poor relative value
Location good for walking into the city. Breakfast very varied and goodStaff friendly and obligingLounge comfortable
Our bathroom was quite small, everything supplied, but just a bit on the small side.
Very friendly staff. Lots of thought has gone into the interior design. Plenty of car parking. High standard of breakfast, offering something a little different to the norm.
Nothing really, just a little expensive.
