Holiday Inn Hemel Hempstead M1 Jct. 8 By IHG

The room met our expectations, it was a little bit small for a family of four (11 and 12 year old children) so we perhaps would need to upgrade this next time. Breakfast was great, lots of choice of hot and cold food. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Our first room was not up to standard however the staff resolved this very quickly.

Lovely staff, couldn’t have been a more warm welcome. Managed to get booked into the pool and room service was fast and friendly.

Recepcionist very friendly.

Bar food was very poor quality and very bad value for money. Not fresh, all microwaved. Quick at least, but not that yummy.

Rooms clean and tidy. Having a swimming pool. Breakfast very good.

Unable book swimming for the day of arrival

Had to book the swimming pool and the price of a glass of wine.

All good though some of my party got better price with breakfast booked last minute nearly n I booked much earlier n more expensive without breakfast

Our stay whilst fulfilled our requirements for our trip. The staff were polite helpful and we were treated with respect

Location was ideal for me, close to the M1. Very clean , staff extremely helpful.

Pillows are a little hard.

Breakfast was great good selection and Derek was very helpful went above and beyond.

The pool was very clean and pleasant. The breakfast was tasty, and Derek on the welcome team at breakfast was very helpful and joyful! The team, including your Spanish bartender, also kept the bar open for us kindly in the evening and went above and beyond to make our stay a great experience.

Great location, we were visiting the HP Studios which were a short drive away. We loved Derek, who greeted us at breakfast and made a real effort with the kids which was so lovely! Thank you derek!

The bed was very uncomfortable.

This was a very good value for money stay.The staff were welcoming and friendly. There was a slight delay with our room being ready which wasn’t until nearly 3 after arrival at 1.30 but we waited in the bar which was fine.The only small complaint we had was the temperature in our room. The first night we managed to turn the temp down to the lowest setting but still all 3 of us struggled to sleep. The second night we turned the thermostat off and the room was still way too hot. We resorted to opening both windows but being right next to the M1 this was not ideal.The staff at the health club were really friendly and the pool was a fantastic addition especially for my son and for our down time when we were not out.

The rooms are very poor.

The staff were lovely to me because I was attending my sisters funeral in the location . They were very kind to me including health club staff, restaurant and bar staff and the staff on reception
