Convenient to where I live for me to put visitors in.
Room missing hairdryer for my female visitor when she had asked me to check the rooms came with a hairdryer.
Location great. Actual building good. Quality of towels good. Staff on attendance friendly.
Rooms was very small. Totally unlike any shown in photos! No fridge in rooms. No water bottles. No facial tissues. Loose water tap in hand basin Only 2 staff to clean & make up rooms in whole hotel.During our stay, front desk staff was also the room service person! Very dated rooms. Quality of breakfast could have been better.
The breakfast was good and the chef is happy to cook vegetarian sausages if you ask.The location is lovely and there are lots of horses on either side of the road leading to the hotel. We especially liked our balcony, which looked over the gardens.
Generally speaking we were very happy with our stay.
3rd stay and will continue to return, lovely old style hotel so welcoming and friendly, rooms are comfy and clean. Perfect for a peaceful night away. The young lady on reception is lovely and as remembered us each time which is really nice. Looking forward to our next stay. Breakfast is fantastic with a good selection of choices.
Nothing lovely place and staff are fantastic.
Birdsong and English bluebells in the lovely gardens
Nowhere to charge my phone in the bedroom
Good breakfast, lovely location in countryside surrounded by fields and horses
Room adequate but tired. Unfortunately, chef went sick so no food provided for evening dinner
Verry friendly and welcoming staff. Great pizza and delicious full english. The food was served hot and fresh.
I was cold in my room but i found a blanket in the wardrobe.
The location
The hotel is dated and in need of lots of modernisations. Our room was really small with a tiny window. The shower leaked all over the floor. The shower facilities were very cheap. The curtain looked like something from the poundshop. Breakfast was an add on for £11.95 and was not worth the money.
My husband and I had a lovely stay. The staff were warm and friendly
We would have preferred a king-size bed instead of double.Shower over bath, needs a grab rail.
Mattress quite comfortable. Breakfast ok, though not outstanding.
Property looked a bit tired and run down. Room was not as nice as pictures, up several flights of stairs and had a view of side car park.Bathroom in eaves. Despite notice requesting us to do so, it was impossible to pull shower curtain all around as runner too close to ceiling in places.Water in sink and shower only ran lukewarm in morning.
The beds were very comfortable and the room was a good size, and quiet as we'd requested. The staff were very friendly and the grounds were stunning.
The breakfast was good apart from the coffee and tea which were jugs of luke warm liquid and awful. They desperately need a coffee machine. Flat White and Cappuccino coffee is expected these days in establishments of this standard. The radiator in our room wouldn't come on with the thermostat when we wanted the room warm to get changed for our evening out. It came on however at around 5am which woke us up as the room was too warm. This happened each night, so we turned it off completely. Strangely, the bathroom radiator was on all the time. However, the bathroom was quite tired with an old fashioned shower curtain instead of a fold out screen. The bath was very deep and difficult to get out of and slippy, unless you kept your feet on the tiny bath spots area that looked like it had been there for many years.
Passable
Leaking shower dripping all the time and an ancient mattress that was hugely uncomfortable.
Meals were lovely and a cosy room for the evening meal.Staff were always helpful
Clean and tidy. Nice breakfast.
No electric vehicle charging points which should be available for hotel residents.
The room was lovely, massive jacuzzi bath, big room with lots of space
Lovely quiet relaxing venue. The staff were very friendly and accomodating and the room and food was superb. We will be back!
We had our daughter's 30th birthday celebrations at this venue. Every member of the team were so friendly, professional and went above and beyond. I would highly recommend this place. The same service was provided to us 2 yrs ago when we held a pre wedding party.
