The Anchor Hotel

Pros +

• Staff were welcoming and very accommodating. Food was excellent and dining room/bar had a great atmosphere. Excellent breakfast. Lovely location with plenty to do.
• Been coming for a few years, beautiful part of the country! The Anchor is lovely, great food and friendly staff. Our room was very comfortable, linen clean and good quality as were the towels big and fluffy.
• Fantastic little unpretentious pub right on the shore line and close to excellent coastal walks. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the pub food was nicely cooked and our room had great views with a comfortable bed. The only downside was that the water pressure was very low for the shower but it didn't spoil our stay.

Cons -

• Room was very dated and not the most comfortable. Shower pressure was dreadful, we made the trip to a local swimming pool to ensure we could have a decent shower.
• It is a little dated, but that does seem to add to the charm. But in saying that the bedrooms do need to be updated and better showers are needed. But it certainly wouldnt put me off going again, and looking to stay again later in the year.
