Pros +
- Perfect inn for storm-tossed night! Easy to find since it's white and right off the road. Helpful in the pouring rain. Quaint place with friendly hosts.
- The location
- Very charming little hotel in a pretty location. Staff was very helpful when we arrived with a car sick child! This was a very authentic experience, check in was at the restaurant bar and the same friendly faces are helping you to your room and serving dinner. And dinner was delicious. My family really appreciated the experience, not like checking it at some generic hotel.
Cons -
- Unclean and the noise of scratching behind the skirting board, either mice or rats during the night so I didn't get much sleep as I'm terrified of mice. Owners said it was swallows nesting but not right time of year for that, late September. Bedding was dirty and one of the headboards was broken. Carpets old and need replacing. Not a nice place to stay. Bathroom was clean however and looked recently decorated. Owners could not care less that we didn't have a good experience staying there. Definitely won't be going there again, I'd rather sleep in a tent.
- Loved the place, no complaints! Pictures are very accurate.

Nice, remote location with beautiful views around. Very friendly staff. Room was simple but that was all we needed. I loved the house itself with its funky hallways and gorgeous exterior.
There was a bit of noise from the road.
Amazing view, nice staff and tasty dinner! We would definitely stay there again !

Very Comfy bed.Lovely view.Friendliness of staff Helpful staff
shower door needed attentionloo roll holder needed repair too
Staff made us feel welcome no issues was too much for them
The fact not being told no meals were available on our 1st night
Pleasant and welcoming staff; spotlessly clean room with plenty of space; beds were quite comfortable; the location and the seats outside were beautiful and relaxing; superb value for money.
It is just off a busy road, but it wasn't very noisy, especially at night. It might be difficult without a car as there isn't really anything else within walking distance.
friendliness of staff. great breakfast. perfect location for us
The only thing we can say is that the location is very good as it's on a main road.
The bed creaked and was uncomfortable. The decor was very dated and in need of modernisation.
Friendly pub atmosphere; reasonable dinner.
No hot water to bathroom until mentioned at breakfast time. It was then switched on and took our showers after.Breakfast was basic and no hot food.
Location good and cheap accommodation. Friendly hosts
Wifi very limited. Black mould in bathroom. No heating working
Location good, staff excellent. Food good.
Price.
Location was lovely.
Bed was uncomfortable. Place was really dated and looked like it needed a good spruce up
The bed linen was clean.
The bathroom was filthy - both the floor and the toilet were dirty. I mean very dirty. Also, the wallpaper by the toilet... We decided to stay there anyway as we were on the road for 13 hours straight. That was the only reason. Also, I had antibacterial wipes, so I cleaned whatever I could to make it manageable. The kettle wasn't working properly. The furniture was damaged, swollen with moisture, etc. Two hangers in the closet, but one was broken. Really strong, bad smell by the exit door. We haven't tried food served there, as the state of the room really put us off. I've stayed in many places - this one was the worst. Avoid.
The staff member who greeted us upon arrival was so kind, and the accommodation was cozy, clean, and exceeded expectations for the price we paid. The bed was comfortable and the location beautiful - nothing but flowers and fields from the parking lot.
Unfortunately, the bar has wifi but this did not extend to the room. No issue for a one-night stay but could have proved tricky if staying longer.
- Convenient location- Comfortable, well-furnished room
- Not the most modern facilities and decoration
I loved this clean, quiet, beautiful place! The personnel was extremely kind. I highly recommend it
We were given a lovely warm welcome when we turned up. The hosts were very nice and polite people. The hotel is a lovely looking building with a very nice bar.We would definitely stay again and try to spend a bit more time with the hosts as they seemed lovely.Thank you for having us.
The restaurant we didn't get to try due to the chef being ill, these things happen and it is unfortunate. The room we stayed in was very basic, but may I add comfortable, this is not a dislike just a highlight for others when booking.
Beer was ok
Chef not well no hot food offered continental breakfast but did not bother, staff ok but facilities were poor
