- Excellent hostel is a wonderful location with onsite parking. Check-in was quick and simple. Our room, a good size for two people, had a large window looking onto the Old Jail next door. The kitchen and dining area was also quite spacious. Great staff

Cons -
- very loud at times - the metal staircase meant that footsteps could be heard loud and clearly all night! the no-door on shower (only a curtain) was offputting for me as i do struggle with things like that, but that could just be personal preference.
- The room could do with a small dresser or coat hanger to hang clothes. Parking next to the hostel could be marked so we don't need to move our vehicle once parked.
- Perhaps a need for a hot breakfast 😀

Excellent location so near to the castleFree parking outside the hostel
Breakfast wasn't worth the £5.50 charge as no cooked breakfast merely toast, cereal and yoghurt plus tea or coffee which are free anyway.
The staff are very friendly, and the hostel has a kitchen where we can prepare coffee and breakfast. The location is perfect—the hostel itself is a sightseeing spot. The view from the window is stunning, as there is a colorful tree right outside. It is very close to Stirling Castle; we dropped off our car here, then walked to the castle and had a city walk. It is very good value for money.
The floor squeaks almost every step we take. We were worried about disturbing others, so we tiptoed with every step.
Very good facilities and the staff was amazing. An excellent value for money. Kitchen with complete facilities. Very good
The shower was not good.
The view from our room was amazing as it had two windows overlooking the old jail building nextdoor, the tombstones around the building and the town/countryside below. All in all the facilities were not bad to be a hostel, and the room was very spacious. Surprisingly, the shower was not bad. We were there only for one night and it was a nice experience
There were two flights of stairs with no elevators and there was no drinking water in the room, only in the kitchen at ground floor. The room was a bit dated (one of the windows was a bit rotten and it was not possible to open it). The bed was hard as a rock, albeit not as uncomfortable as we were expecting. We didn't have the possibility to drop off our luggage (but were told it's possible to arrange so the day before), and the check-in is quite late.
Location. Cleanliness. Comfortable beds.
Nothing really. Just a bit dated.
Twin room with ensuite. Great value for money. Only issue was a velux window that we were unable to open for a bit of fresh air and unable to pull down the blind so as to avoid being woke too early in the morning. In fairness, we didn't ask for any help from staff with this. Lovely lounge. Didn't use the kitchen so can't comment.
Well located, easy entry, comfortable beds, good shared kitchen and dining room, everything was there, great weather, would gladly come back.
It is located next door to the old Town Jail, just down the hill from Stirling Castle, around the corner from great dining options and the metropolitan bus stops at the driveway. The staff is exceptionally helpful. The room was immaculate and quiet.
Great location. Easy walking distance to castle and also handy to shops and food. Had everything we needed.
Fantastic location in historic building. Wonderful communal areas including roomy well equipped kitchen, great opportunity to meet and share stories with fellow travelers. Very safe.
Situated up a hill, but I loved walking down to Stirling in the beginning of the day….. so not really complaining.
The location (although you had to walk up a hill) was excellent. You were in the center of history with the jail next door and the castle a little farther up the hill. There was parking for those who needed it. Shower was great. You were able to use the kitchen downstairs to cook or fill your water bottle (can't in the room). Breakfast was adequate - cereals, some fruit, yogurt, juices, tea and coffee. Staff was great as well.
No complaints
Location, staff, self catering facilities, local information, cleanliness.
The rooms were not so small as expected in a Hostel !. The breakfast was good. The self catering facility looks very professional and kept very clean with all requisite cutlery and condiments, Very close to the town & the attractions (Stirling Castle)
No lift!

Mattress was not that comfortable but for one night it was fine Breakfast was essential
