Pros +
- Location to falls
- The location and the restaurant/bar were great, friendly staff
- Location, atmosphere, bar and restaurant
Cons -
- Crowded room
- Between two rooms there was a massive black mold spot that was wet and covered by some rugs
- Our bathroom didn’t have a shower and the bathtub was over a tilted ceiling so I couldn’t fit inside for a shower. Had to shower on my knees or fill the bathtub which I didn’t find convenient at all.

Our bathroom didn’t have a shower and the bathtub was over a tilted ceiling so I couldn’t fit inside for a shower. Had to shower on my knees or fill the bathtub which I didn’t find convenient at all.
Location was beautiful, clean rooms and tasty food at the restaurant. Breakfast was very good.
So many narrow stairs to get to the room - difficult with bags
Old fashioned, beautifully furnished Made ingenious use of the spaceLovely deep bath
Very small room - a little cramped
Lovely little restored cottage behind the inn. We had a nice dinner and breakfast in the inn and my gluten free diet was accommodated. Staff are excellent particularly Lydia, who went out of her way to assist us when the cottage had a plumbing issue. We were refunded half the cost of our accommodation as the issue couldn't be rectified due to it being the Easter long weekend and no other rooms were available. We are happy with the way this was handled and would stay again.
✨ This place is an absolute must-visit! It's charming, full of character, and offers a truly unique experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is outstanding—the loveliest staff who go out of their way to make sure you're looked after.? One of the highlights was the smokehouse tucked away at the back. The smoked salmon is incredible—so fresh and full of flavour—and if you get the chance, definitely try one of the Scottish sparkling wines. A perfect pairing!?10/10, we’ll absolutely be returning. Highly recommended!
Stunning location and great food.
The small room was a little cramped with all the furniture in it.
Breakfast and service was lovely. Location and views from the window of the Falls is fantastic. Bed was super comfy.
Location was fantastic and parking was free. Room was small - bathroom was dated
Great food, lovely staff and that fire!
bedroom 1 was small and my husband is 6 foot so was a little cramped for us. also bed needed a new mattress
Lovely location overlooking the Falls of Dochart, both dinner and breakfast were excellent and the staff were very friendly.
Awful management of what looked to be a lovely place leaving us with nowhere to stay
Despite a paid for and confirmed booking when we arrived the inn was closed. We eventually managed to contact the owner who informed us that the booking was a mistake and we had to take it up with Booking.Com and hung up on us. No offer to help find other accommodation nearby. We also got fined for the 12 minutes we were in their car park while we phoned them. This is still ongoing as they have not resolved this fine despite requests.
Liked the sound of the water and the age of the property with its character etc
Basic but couldn’t really fault it . Slept like a baby. The rope banister is a challenge if you have too many beers . ?
Perfect location, very helpful staff and friendly. A cosy and warm place surrounded by lots of beautiful places!
Location is stunning ! Breakfast fantastic !Very comfortable beds !
Rooms bit drab !Food choices in restaurant very limited !
Staff was very friendly and infor.mative.A charming property, keeping its traditional style.Clean and tidy.
The stairs with heavy suitcases to the rooms. Was challenging. Suggest to pack only twhat you need in a small bag..
The best location. Comfy bed and pillows. Great bath. Everything was perfect
There was honestly nothing to dislike. Having dinner at the inn was a highlight of our trip, fantastic entertainment and great food. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
Warm room, friendly staff, great breakfast, good food at night. . Nice roll top bath.
Room very small and had difficulty getting to one side of the bed through lack of space. We were right beside fire escape which was used by staff to smoke and had an ash tray that hadn't been emptied for a while. .
The setting is breathtaking, and the Smoked salmon and cheese from their own smoke shop is stunning!! Staff were very friendly.
The Inn is old and must cost a fortune to maintain so rooms were a little worse for wear. The bar closed early during our stay which was dissaponting.
