The bedroom was very spacious and a good temperature bed was comfortable The bar and restaurant spaces were pleasant and the staff were exceptionally friendly helpful and polite
Parking was tricky on a busy Saturday as we saw no signs for the over flow car parkBathroom could do with a loo brush
The food was nice and the waitresses were friendly
Wasn’t very clean and very old furnishings and the pool changing rooms were very dirty and smelly bins overflowing and very cold area
Facilities gym swimming pool sauna steam room and jacuzzi.
Staff Very friendly and welcoming. Lovely large room and big ensuite. Enjoyed the swimming pool.. Good evening meal and breakfast.
The room and ensuite especially was very cold, the water in the evening was not very warm, so couldn't have a bath or shower.
Beautiful location, room was huge, leisure facilities niceZ Jacuzzi, Sauna steam room good. We had dinner at the sister hotel the Winnock which was lovely.
Leisure centre was a bit cold. The main pool temperature felt cold. When lying on the loungers after coming out of the pool I was cold and couldn’t relax. Bed in the room was very hard and uncomfortable.
Location was good however most shops and cafes were closed on a Monday. No big deal but with limited places to eat for lunch it was obvious.
No light bar snacks or sandwiches available so arriving at 3pm and dinner not until later there was nothing available to eat in between.
The pool was great, and the bar and lounge were comfortable. The shower was fantastic with plenty of hot water. The staff were all very helpful. The hotel was nice and warm.
Cheap plastic glasses in the bathroom. The room was good, but with tired furniture.
Been a few times over the years. The leasure centre is amazing, food, staff and hotel is amazing only this that lets it down is the beds and pillows are really hard, I ended up not being able to sleep because I couldn't get comfy and woke up with pain in my neck and back. The gap at the bottom of the door let a lot of light in from the hall as well so room wasn't as dark as it could have been. We'll be back for a day and a meal instead of an overnight.
Uncomfortable bed and light getting in the bottom of the door from the corridor.
Not a lot
Room was terrible. Needed more than TLC. Ceiling looked as if it had a leak at one point. Cobweb in toilet with a few spiders in it. My husband went to go into shower and the shower curtain rail came down on him. Hot breakfast was warm only. Did complain and got £50 pounds refund. Paid 110 pounds per night. We stayed two nights. We are just back from Jersey and the hotel we had was amazing was fraction of the cost.
Fantastic pool and leisure facilities the rooms were easy accessible and well signed the restaurant looked beautiful although we didn’t manage to try the food . The car park was perfect for all of us including my disabled mother
Could do with updating some of the carpets were stained the doors had delves and the curtains were old fashioned but it was still a great experience for us
The property is lovely - onsite restaurant was good and the spa was so wonderful. Rooms were comfortable and clean and the shower had very strong water pressure which was nice.
Lovely comfort bed was large enough Staff welcoming The sitting area was lovely The dinner was amazing
At dinner the guy forgotten about our drinks... Wasn't busy but I get that were all humanBut having an autistic son it was hard 2 wait more than 20mins for jst drinks!!
Steam room good. Gym good.
Shape of the pool. Hard to find room. Noisy guests in lounge late night. Radiator in first room offered wasn’t working.
Location good , only a couple of minutes walk to centre of the village.
No sugar available with complementary tea/coffees,( a small oversight I’m sure)
Location and leisure facilities.
Hotel tatty in places. Plaster board cracked, scuffs on walls. Very noisy guest in lounge. Could hear in room late at night. After calling night porter at 12:30 am it finally quietened down soon after. Didn’t receive much of a welcome from reception staff upon arrival. She was on her mobile phone later on. Other older receptionist miserable. Get feeling they don’t enjoy their jobs but that should be put aside. No acknowledgment again from reception on checking out.
Perfect weekend away with family. The decor in the pool was excellent for the kids
Showers in the pool weren’t working properly but think that was being resolved
Location
The first room we got i asked to be moved i honestly wouldn't have put anyone in and I had taken my husband for his birthday was really not acceptable at all. The hotel did move me to a better room . I just feel that I had paid for an early check in had organised balloons and wine for the room and it was all a bit spoiled with the room . Also the spa and sauna is to relax . The pool was full of kids that I dont even think were staying at the hotel. I feel as though the hotel is defo needing to change alot of things
