The Dunning Hotel

Pros +

• The welcome was friendly and helpful. The lady told us of breakfast options locally and offered a packed lunch should we want it. Friendly atmosphere in the bar downstairs
• How friendly the staff and locals were
• Fantastic room, warm welcome, comfortable bed, hot shower, definitely have a pizza while you are there and a hot chocolate at the bar before bed. Brilliant little booklet in my room about walks around Dunning

Cons -

• The poorly lit "private bathroom " was not next to our room, it was across a landing and up/down some stairs. Not ideal, especially in the middle of the night. The room was small and cramped - the sash window was jammed open with a piece of wood. There were no smoke alarms in the room. Although this is "Hotel" it is essentially a room above a pub. Nothing wrong with that but it's worth noting . The Hotel needs investment and improvement .
