Pros +
- Staff very friendly and helpful and nice to stay in a hotel that has kept its lovely grandeur room was very comfortable all good.
- Size of room (Junior Suite), choice at breakfast, lift, openable window, good quality curtains, 24 hour manned reception desk.
- The breakfast was very delicious!! Nice room, with a comfy bed.
Cons -
- Steps up to front door, reception area dimly lit and not visible from entrance, some need of decorating front door and skirting board inside Suite, no mention of kettle on website which was provided but we had brought our own unnecessarily, dinner in bar became rather chilly when patio doors opened, need for slightly better signage for reception, lift, bar, restaurant locations, website could have been clearer that the Junior Suite has only side glimpses of the sea.
- Booked breakfast in the morning went down about 9:30 was disappointed Quite greasy and needed to ask for it to be refreshed as dishes empty Some Items on the menu had to be ordered like the salmon, compote and porridge The cheese and ham wasn’t covered so was quite hard Sauces out uncovered had formed a crust Only apples and slices watermelon for fruitI’ve had better breakfasts for less money However the disappointing breakfast didn’t dampen stay even though the rain tried
- Tap leaked in the bath and no heating in bathroom - v cold. No space in carpark but there were spaces around in next street. It would have been good to have herbal teas in room and a biscuit each.

We were meeting old friends form the area we came from for dinner and always use the Burlington as it has a wonderful reputation and a beautiful building and staff. We always use the Burlington when visiting
Location good Bar staff very friendly and accommodating Everyone very pleasant and polite I booked a small room and then was offered an upgrade which I accepted - still good value and the room was lovely

The architecture and close to sea view

Staff were polite and professional. Duty manager was very accommodating when our tv wasn’t working we were moved to another room with ease. Receptionist greeted us warmly and had good knowledge of the facilities both inside and outside the building. We would love to return .
Only more availability of parking .
Second stay and always enjoyable! Well presented and comfortable.
The only small thing I would gripe at is the channels! For the price, I would expect more range.
Good location and pleasant service
We had room 230. In our opinion, it should not be used for 2 adult guests. The smallest bed we have found in a hotel room in many years
Most of the stay
Bar was not bowen until 4 could have done with the top bar being open and choice of larger not good
Room and bed very comfortable, decent lighting, warm, and well laid out. Bar staff friendly and welcoming. Breakfast choices delicious. Wonderful location.
Lighting in bar a bit dark.
Warm friendly welcome, swift and easy check-in, great location - walking distance to all amenities along the seafront clifftop, great food and drinks, amazing room with fabulous views.
Friendly staff
Not the best breakfast you had run out of mushrooms and advocados. Coffee was not very warm.
Room was small, but we knew that would be the case. It was comfortable enough for the one night we stayed and quiet. I couldn't get the wi-fi to work but didn't pursue this as we were only there for one night. Phone reception was poor in the hotel too but OK once you left. Good location almost on the sea front with an easy walk into the centre of Folkestone. Breakfast was very nice with good service
Working wi-fi
Always enjoy my stay here so it has become my go to selection when in the area for work now. Location good, parking okay, hotel and room nice, staff great, food decent and rooms usually available at a good price.
Nothing, all good. Well done.
Warm and friendly. Reception guy lovely and staff in cocktail bar were friendly and chatty. Especially Maxey Max, lovely cocktails.
Only issue was the bed, they would be happy to rectify, bed squeaked every time you moved.
Very nice room great big bath very clean would stay again very good quality for the price
You had very loud music on the 7th of February and did not get a sleep till 2.30 am in the morning and was not happy because I had to drive home tired and needed a sleep when I got back home
Hotel situation close to beach
There was blood on my wife's duvet cover and the replacement they gave her was also stained...Food and drinks prices were excessive. £12 for a simple cocktail. My seafood hotpot contained 6 mussels (2which weren't open)and 4 prawns plus a very small piece of fishI was charged £26
Very beautiful and well-kept building. Staff are friendly.
The bed was very squeaky and the matrass bouncy. As we stayed for two nights, felt very tired on the morning of the checkout. Also, the room wasn't ready for the 3 o'clock check-in, making us late for our pre-aarranged meeting in town.
Very good breakfast, best veg sausages I've experienced anywhere and veg bacon good.Fruit glasses good too.
The remote control was worn and inadequate in room 323. Some icons were rubbed off so it took a while to find the subtitles that I needed. Also the buttons were too small.Needs to be replaced imo for a more modern one. It's misleading to say the beach is close. It's a long walk down.
