- The late autumn sun through the windows in the afternoon when we arrived was magical. The room we had was fantastic. It didn't feel like a traditional hotel as the room was an interesting shape which made a difference. Breakfast was really good on both days.
- Excellent location. Very comfy bed. Breakfast excellent. Friendly helpful staff
Cons -
- the parking beside the hotel had a meter that didn't work. We struggled with it for about 30 mins and then the next day we decided to park elsewhere' The bathtub and shower looked good but the shower was difficult to use within the curtains in the bath and the shampoo and conditioned were not accurately labelled. we had two shampoos and no conditioner and neither was appropriately attached to the pump mechanism so did not work that well
- There were only two things that marred the overall exceptional experience:- we were unlucky to be woken up multiple times by loud groups outside on the harbour. Not helped by the fact we couldn't work out how to properly seal the windows so they let a lot of sound through.- the water in the shower was a bit unpredictable, but that may have been me not reading the tap properly. But I couldn't because the bulb in the bathroom had gone. So...

Excellent location. Very comfy bed. Breakfast excellent. Friendly helpful staff
Location is great. Had a great view of the Harbour. Lots of food places near by
Clean and well equipped
Lovely room overlooking the Harbour.
No free on-site parking! No ground floor rooms. No lift.
We love the room accommodations and the view of the sea, we stayed in a king suite with Seaview. I am madly in love with the bathtub, and the overall decor of the room was stunning. The bed was very comfortable.
There was no air conditioning and we were very hot, however, we did appreciate the fan!We did arrive early in the morning from a cruise we had just completed and it was hard to find the entrance and anyone to let us check in and drop off our bags. We would recommend better signage because it looked like three different places and we were confused. We had both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and were not overwhelmed with the food. This place has huge potential and is so charming. I see the vision here and glad we stayed. Up your game in the kitchen and this could be the gem on the block!
The location is superb, both for first-time visitors to Folkestone or returning guests. With stunning views of the harbour, it's just dreamy. The room was huge and very well decorated, with a beautiful bath to relax in and a cozy nook to sit in. The staff were lovely from start to finish, and the breakfast was excellent (just like the food at the Harbour Inn!). Won't be staying anywhere else in Folkestone!
Nothing! It was excellent.
Very friendly staff, clean throughout, very comfortable beds, lovely view from bedroom would definitely come back and stay again!
Nothing!
Great stay, lovely, helpful staff and our room was well designed with a great view of the harbour. Great value for money and perfect for a weekend away. Looking forward to our next stay.
I have to say this is one , if not the best weekends away we have ever had. The hotel is amazing. We booked the Executive suite, and it was absolutely stunning. The staff were all really nice and couldn't do enough for you . And the breakfast..........it was incredible, easily the best breakfast we have had. The chef is an absolute legend!!! Would 100 percent recommend staying here , and we will definitely be returning for another visit. 11 out of 10 Lee and Tracy xxx
Lovely aesthetic hotel in a great location. Also had a lovely breakfast
There is no way to contact anyone?! The phone number is disconnected, they don’t reply to messages, no one is at the front desk and the restaurant never picks up. I accidentally left something in my room and let the hotel know immediately but have received no response. Other than travelling back to Folkestone I’m out of options.Would be nice if the Bathroom could have more elevated toiletries, face cloth, robe etc.
My stay at this property was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome with their warmth and attentiveness. The room was spotless, cozy, and offered a breathtaking view of the tide and sea—truly a sight to behold. Beyond the comfort of the accommodation, the location provided easy access to the stunning scenery, making my experience even more unforgettable. I can’t recommend this place highly enough and would return in a heartbeat!
Lovely room, great location
Room had a lovely big bath but the water would only get to luke warm so made having a bath a bit pointless
One of the most stunning rooms I've ever seen! The level of detail in the decor is amazing. The view is lovely, and the bed is super comfortable! Nice touch having oat milk at the tea/coffee station. Will 100% come back. The bathroom is also so beautiful. Really nice size room, too. We missed better lighting when doing our makeup, but besides that the lighting was perfect and gave the room a lovely ambience. The radio was on when we locked ourselves in, such a nice touch!
While the duvet is super cosy for chilling, it was too heavy to sleep under! Felt like i had weights on my feet. I'm being picky, but I would have loved a nicer coffee option than the instant nescafe (good tea options, though)We didn't try the breakfast as we read other reviews saying it's not suitable for veggies/vegans. Wish we could have paid a cheaper rate and not included it (we usually don't), but booking.com didn't have that option. These are small things though, honestly loved our stay, and we will be returning!
So nice! Everyone was happy and helpful especially the lady doing breakfast!! We will be back thank you !!
Room was so hot and couldn’t open window anymore
Breakfast was outstanding, and there was plenty of choice. We both chose the full English and it was excellent and generous. The dining room is a beautiful spot to eat in. Our room was gorgeous: beautifully decorated and enormous. It's clearly been done to a very high standard. Lots of lovely little details and a wonderful view. Finally, the location is perfect. Right in the middle of everything.
Quiet and tidy
No WiFi code anywhere to be found - needs to be a card in the room - assuming there is WiFi that is
Great location and view across harbour. Great size room
The room was good, comfortable and clean, but I was unable to have a bath or shower because the bath side was too high. The staff were friendly and helpful
I had booked another hotel in Folkestone but cancelled because in the confirmation information, it was said that breakfast was not available on Tuesdays during the low season. I therefore emailed the next chosen the London & Paris before booking and was assured that breakfast would be available. However in response to a chance question at dinner, we were told that 'they didn't do breakfast on Wednesdays' - the only day we required it. No apology was given and the information was delivered in a very off hand way. We would not have booked had we known that the information we were given was false and will definitely not be staying again,
The room was very clean and bright. Lovely views over the Harbour.
