Room was tiny. It was a cosy double so expected but bathroom was the tiniest we have ever seen! No space for Toiletries.

We've stayed at this hotel many times as it's lovely. It's in a good location, nicely decorated, and the staff are polite and friendly.

I didn't really like the room we stayed in this time. I booked a 'queen' but it was very small. The decor was very nice but it was on the top floor and had a very restricted view of anything because of the parapet around the roof. It was also a bit stuffy as you can only open the window a few inches. The most annoying part was on the Monday morning as we were getting ready to check out (we were packed and having a cup of tea) a man from house keeping knocked on the door at 10.30 to ask (quite abruptly) if we were checking out. We thought it was eleven o'clock like most hotels but it was 10.30. We were ready to go but it was a bit irritating and rather rude.

Nice restaurant, lovely breakfast and dinner. Overall everything clean and looked after. We had a super king room and it was specious and looks like just after refurbished. Bathroom also clean and spacious. We had an amazing sea view

Great location for all of our activities, (restaurant, local theatre and parkrun). Clean comfortable room, great breakfast and friendly staff.

Access to the hotel (Steep steps and narrow doorway)

    9PeterPosted on: 2-10-2026

Good on all counts, from room to check in to the bar, had to asak for my tea at breakfast twice but hey things happen

Nothing not to like, even the impossibly tiny lift was amusing

    8ClarePosted on: 2-5-2026

Perfectly located, comfortable and modern, lovely stay, nice and warm in the cold weather.

    9StephenPosted on: 2-2-2026

    Lovely and clean, comfy beds

It was extremely busy the night we stayed which was planned but this consideration hadn’t been thought of for bar and floor staff which made unnecessary queue

Great hotel in fantastic location. Within walking distance of station, shops, restaurants and beach. Lovely room with great facilities and amazing view (full moon at night and sunrise in the morning). If you are a park runner, Folkestone Park Run starts opposite the hotel :-)

    9PeterPosted on: 2-1-2026

Very nice room. Much better than past times.

Was pretty hot overnight, but we did not change heating control and we could have.

    8HallPosted on: 1-29-2026

The 2 single beds combined together was not that comfortable at all, as it is separate me and my husband from cuddling whilst we sleep. The beds themselves are comfortable beds, it's just the joining bit. Lovely place though

The cleaners need to ensure to hoover the rooms each time someone checked out. I could see small debris on the carpet. Lovely cleaners though

New Years Eve package - all was great from the room to evening meal and entertainment to breakfast.

    Nothing all was great

    9MichaelPosted on: 1-27-2026

Excellent breakfast - at a level akin to a high-end 4* hotel, Room completely refurbished with aircon, large flatscreen, comfortable bed and fridge with complementary stil/sparkling water.

    Card payment processing was problematic.
