- Beautiful decor and atmosphere, with views over the beach to enjoy from the dining room and balconies (and the rooftop which was closed this winter for renovation). The pantry was an extra delight to find snacks available any time.
- Absolutely Stunning! The bar, the restaurant , the decor, the rooms, plus a place to get snacks for everyone. Breakfast was incredible & my husband and I are vegan. Congratulations to everyone who makes this Hotel excellent, but the best is everyone who works there. So friendly, professional and caring. Special mention Purdie & Francisco!
- Breakfast catered for my non dairy needs- lots of choice and the overnight oats were dairy free!Car parking was good and near by and my husband charged his car
Cons -
- Limited street parking available close by, no unloading bay. ok during our winter visit but possibly tricky in summer?
- Absolutely nothing!
- Unfortunately our record player didn’t work

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, little details like record player and pantry

Cool design, comfortable throughout.
Struggled a little with heat control -But I’m a tech Luddite.
The staff!
The bathroom was useless! The high sided roll top bath - a dream for Instagram - but a nightmare to try to use! Impossible to get in and out of to shower curtain which- with a NYLON shower curtain which simply flooded the bathroom and corridor outside leaving the smell of wet rush matting. No hand shower just to be able to use the bath. An interior designer’s fantasy - but fails to function.
This is a fabulous hotel. It has amazing views and is a great spot to have a drink/dinner and look at the ocean. The room was big, with a big, full bathroom. Each floor has a wonderful pantry where guests can help themselves to snacks - cakes, crisps, fun old fashioned lollies. Wonderful.
Loved the location - easy to get anywhere; loved the magnificent views from our 2nd floor room, and from the Pearly Cow at breakfast; loved the turntable and LPs, and the generous pantry and refreshments in the room. Felt cossetted and well looked after.
Didn't love the virtually invisible heating controls (the low-level lighting didn't help) - could have done with an illustrated how-to in the welcome pack; didn't love all of breakfast, though the coffee and poached egg were excellent; and just wondered why no tissues or shower cap in the otherwise excellent bathroom.
The staff were fabulous, especially Joe who I believe was the night manager. The bed was possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The roll top bath was lovely, and the shower had amazing power. The large windows were perfect to view the beautiful sands. Fresh milk was provided without asking but was not replaced or topped up. Water was provided on my second day but not on the first. The steak dinner was good, but the accompanying salad and tiramisu were disappointing.
The room was very clean but because of some issues with the refresh I think the housekeeping was a bit hit & miss. I did not understand the suites were not actually in the hotel. I wouldn’t stay there again as a solo female traveler because of that. Although overall I enjoyed my stay, I felt there were too many small issues (such as waiting hours for my safe to be available) for the price charged. The service I am afraid needs to be better.
The location, the staff and the ‘instagram’ worthy rooms.
Fabulous room overlooking the sea. Wonderful decor all over. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Great touches re the sweets and cakes trolly and records and player in each room.
Paying £25 to park.
This hotel was beautiful. The staff at the hotel were all lovely and helpful too. I stayed in a sea view room and it was so lovely as it directly over looked the sea and had a balcony. Perfect for a morning coffee. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfy. The bathroom was really nice too and even though it was a waterfall shower, the pressure was perfect! There was also a cute pantry with lots of nice treats to help yourself too. The cake was incredible.Great coffee in the bar area too :) All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay again. It's close to some nice restaurants and if you're there on a Tuesday, make sure to pop into the Fez pub next door to enjoy the local ukulele group practice.
If i reaaaalllly had to nit pick, I would have liked a firmer pillow but that's just preference :) I really couldn't fault the hotel :)
Loved the location and the ambiance; beautiful architecturally preserved boutique hotel which felt very cosy and welcoming. Staff were great. Relaxing and edgy at the same time.
The parking was an issue; we were asked if we needed to reserve a parking spot prior to coming and when we enquired the hotel was full so we had to spend time moving the car as only 2 hour parking slots allowed at the nearby car parks.
The friendliest welcome, stylish, cosy rooms and an excellent pantry for midnight munchies. The record players and vinyl selection were a great touch as well.

The style , comfort , quality and the pantry , friendly staff ! The spa !
Extortionate price for car parking .
Fantastic location, great staff, lovely decor, pantry treats
It is very well appointed and a lot of thought, such as a record turntable in the bedroom, has been put into the place. The staff are very friendly and our room had a balcony overlooking Margate beach. A lovely bar and great breakfast
We were visiting for the Margate music at Dreamland and were a bit disappointed to not be able to get a cocktail in the bar after 10pm. Wine beers etc were available at anytime after that
Location was superb as we were visiting our close friend who owns the Fezz next door…. The cart in the lobby on the 2nd floor was very nice. Staff were very attentive. Our room (9) was a pleasure… The shower was amazing, really good. The private car was great, very convenient (despite the additional charge) … The bed was very very comfortable. And the view was the best. I’m trying to be balanced given we travel a lot and hope our fair review is received accordingly.. the record player and selection of LPs was really good…
Overall the cost is excessive given the facilities (replenishing the white sugar and tea would have been nice given we were there for two nights) … the detail is not focussed on…. No complementary water, tissues or basic hygiene products ….. didn’t even get refilled coffee pots for the machine and the tea bags for day two… also the tea bags are not labelled so you relied on smell to determine what they were… given the overall cost, car parking should really have been inclusive. I honestly thought, having paid £600+ for two nights breakfast was inclusive (clearly my incorrect assumption) …. Check out was delayed because it was being hosted by someone who couldn’t deal with check out so we had to wait 5 minutes for check out staff to arrive … it has many good features, but you guys need to work on the detail… would we come back? Let’s see how the reviews go from herein. You need to match your cost against your delivery and detail. It’s lovely but you’ve some cracks and you can fix them without much if any cost. I don’t do detailed reviews ever but you’ve got a good model, and just focus on what your customers actually want and not what you think they want! Oh, I forgot to mention (I did on check out), the low toilet flush in room 9 and a couple of the light switches don’t work.
