- The staff were fantastic, so friendly, helpful and welcoming and we had a few laughs and felt comfortable straight away We booked an overnight stay here so popped in for drinks and food also. The food was great, the breakfast was also nice. Good location to get to the theatre and sea front. We would come back just for the staff alone, really goes a long way in my opinion and can't thank them enough for a wonderful stay.

- Fantastic pub - although the location is getting a bit built up, situated in a new development and retail park, just on the outside of the retail park, where there are a few big name supermarkets, well known DIY store, coffee shop, pizza, chicken, burgers and subs for those who don't want to eat at the pub - the pub food menu is varied and offers lots for dinner and breakfast options - breakfast was cooked fresh or had the option of continental or cereals. The rooms/hotel section is set away from the pub in it's own block, the rooms were clean and tidy, bed comfy, with tea and coffee available to be made in the room - the room is basic but functional, a chair, TV and table/desk to do work on if needed - with air-con and heating - all in all, we had a great stay and will be back soon
Cons -
- Excessive price fluctuation every time we stay makes budgeting for regular stays unpredictable
- Nothing really - close enough to the town to be away from it all.
- All good nothing to see here

Great location next to a family oriented pub restaurant serving good food reasonably priced lovely roast carvery dinner there are few shops near by and fast food outlets hotel is about 15 minutes drive to the sea front hotel rooms are good size and are cosy clean better than I expected will stay again soon
All good nothing to see here
Close to all the amenities and my family. Good price. plenty of parking.
Only on this occasion. when we unloaded the car, I had to pack the car up again as there was no receptionist. so I had to go to the pub. receptionist. I will check next time. but I was slightly annoyed after driving 3 hrs

I like it there although I did miss the biscuits in the room this time .I gave exhausted the menu at the pub/restaurant but thoroughly enjoyed the roast dinner
There isn't anything really.
Everything was good as usual, nice and peaceful, and good food at the Marston's Inn, looking forward to my next trip.
I didn't like the noise the air conditioning made in my room, sounds like a train passing by.

Everything was good as usual really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel, the room was fresh and bright facing the car park which I like..
No biscuits in the room, I do enjoy a cup of tea with a biscuit when I wake up in the morning.
It's all been newly decorated. Was super clean. Huge, very comfortable bed, lovely long bath, plenty of piping hot water, plenty of milk for tea and coffee. Pretty quiet. Plenty of room.
The restaurant. But that should be a separate review.Huge 'Reception' sign at hotel door and then when we'd got to it with our heavy bags, we were told to check in at the restaurant: tiny writing on the huge reception sign. . Also, it's too far out of town - 2 miles - to walk at night. Smugglers Cove sounds like it should be nearer the sea.
Clean, modern
Noisy plumbing - some sort of issue with loud plumbing / air conditioning pipes. Noise intermittent throughout the night and woke me each time. Also clunking noise, needs attention.
Clean, staff and restaurant
My double bed was two singles pushed together. Uncomfortable and unacceptable!

The stay was comfortable, the room was clean, the breakfast was good, the staff were friendly. Overall it was reasonable value for money and the location was perfect for our needs.
It was slightly awkward that we had to go across to the separate restaurant to check in or reach staff.
