Star Anglia Hotel

The hotel is nice the issue is that thereIs a conference room (party room below) and it’s too loud and people can sleep when there are party’s below one night I couldn’t sleep I asked for a reimburse but they say no, please reimburse me that night

The hotel and staff is good but again one night I couldn’t sleep due to the sound of a party that lasted til 3 am . I asked for a reimburse of that night but they said no

light bulb next to the bed not working - no plug in the bthroom basin - tap in the bath did not work - television did not work

Room is big and clean

Room is too hot, Street was very noisy when you open the window to bring some air.There should be any kind of refreshing fan in the room

Lovely man on check in, very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean, and roof terrace

Nothing to dislike

I have already reviewed but no response unfortunately would not stay here again as could not sleep in this room. Which is obviously the whole point of staying somewhere for the night to sleep. For some strange reason they have put a fire exit light inside the room which means bright green light ALL NIGHT never have I experienced this. (It is not legislation as it’s not an external exit so can be removed!)The picture is what I stared at all night such ashame as the room is very nice.

Language barrier with staff was awful and staff were unable to help due to them not understanding a great deal of English. Glass on entry door was smashed. Ring door bells absolutely everywhere over the hotel. Room was cold Bed was like sleeping on concrete and pillows felt like bricks. Hotel very dated.

The location was good and the room was very comfortable and clean

There was nothing we didn’t like.

Bed space

Told us last minute there was a party going on from the time we arrived and finished at about 5 in the morning. House keeping continuously knocked on our door from the moment we woke up to the time we had to leave (11am)

The staff were lovely and the room was spacious and good value for money

It was quite loud at night as we were right next to the private hire room but honestly it didn't matter as we stayed on NYE and we were out until late anyway. We were made aware of the party when we arrived to the property

Very comfy bed, friendly staff and good location, walking distance into town. Free parking included next to the hotel. Was given the option to change to twin beds instead of the double, allowed the choose which we wanted which was nice.

Felt abit rushed to leave with knock at the door 30 mins before check out time

The staff were lovely,, they couldn't do enough,, they let us know everything we needed to know before checking in,, let us know if we had any qs, we were welcome to go down and ask,, the hotel was so much more than what I expected

We couldn't turn the heating off,, then when we did we couldn't turn it back onThe room was booked backed to back with another neighbour,, I would of found it less stressful being quieter,, it was quite loud out in the street at ? the guests who stayed were from the EU,, the things that we heard from them were disgusting.. the shower was scolding hot and couldn't turn it down..

The shower was broken only scalding hot water available.

Super friendly and helpful staff. The bed was comfortable. The size of the room was very convenient.

The switch between hand shower and top shower was blocked.

Large, comfortable room. Great bed, great shower and great internet - everything we needed. It was good to have a kettle and a fridge in the room. We could even have cooked as there was also a stove top and a microwave. The parking was a bonus. It was hot weather and they kindly gave us a fan - much appreciated. We have stayed here before as it is so convenient for town and for visiting the family. Everyone was really friendly. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

DO NOT STAY HERE

Location and parking difficult to navigate, very few spaces. Does not look like pictures advertise whatsoever , no working telephone system in hotel to reception, mattress was broke, very very small double bed. toilet was used and not cleaned, staple sticking out at bottom base, access to microwaves is down in reception. The rooms bedding and furniture are brown making them dark murky n miserable. The chairs looked well used and dirty. The whole experience was disgusting. I walked out and had to find another hotel. Oh n I spent more time running up and down the lift to get assistance all they offered was a single room for 2 adults n a baby.ABSOLUTE HORROR START TO A WEEKEND

Friendly, caring and accommodating staff. Facilities good but no bar fridge in room. Conveniently located near both train and bus, while in easy walking distance from city centre.

No air conditioning, however the windows opened, providing some relief from the heat. Perhaps installed fan or stand alone fan would suffice, given the shortness of the English summer.

Nothing it was disgustingly dirty - human turd on on the back of the toilet cistern avoid at all costs

Human poo that had been wiped on the top of the toilet was not cleaned
