The room was clean & comfortable. Very quiet.

Transport links to Colchester. There are no buses into Colchester.

No atmosphere .could do with entertainment. It was valentines day. No decorations or anything good to make it a bit more special

Nice quiet location. Cosy ambience with lots of lounging space.

The breakfast is very basic. Not much options. There's also only one staff member on shift at a time running everything so it becomes difficult to get help when required. Stood at the reception for quite a while on two occasions with no staff in sight. Also there's no fridge in the room which is very inconvenient.

The layout of the hotel was nice, the room was great and the staff all very happy to help.

Room was a good size and the outside drinking / smoking area is nice

Bed made me sweat all night even though i didn’t have the heating on and it was only 1° outside. Breakfast is served until 10am but hot food stops at 9am. No alternative to real milk. It’s 2026 for goodness sake. Just go buy some almond milk or oat milk.

absolutely awful breakfast, probably the worst I have ever witnessedThe heating didn't work for 2 days and was ignored by the staff initially, but I only got a new room after complaining 3 timesAwful lighting in rooms, extremely dark even with all lights turned onAlthough the room was large, it was just empty with a tiny tv on the opposite side, 5 meters from the sofa, so impossible to watchwindows which let in cold air

The location was very good if you have a car.If you like to walk it's a bit out the way from the town centre. The breakfast wasn't excellent however it was enjoyable. Biggest issue was the lack of staff...the girl on her own who ran reception..bar and food service was outstanding. She was let down by a colleague. The kitchen produced food for the evening menu quickly and very tasty. All in all a excellent stay

There was nothing that I didn't like.There was a few issues that ould have been improved though.A back up member of staff to help out.Better scrambled eggs as these were very dry.Individual bedside lights

The self check in didn't work and there was only one member of staff covering the bar, restaurant and reception so it took ages to check in. Very limited options on the hot breakfast. Now the room, lovely and spacious however the aerial in the TV was broken, I managed to fix it. The sink tap spat water everywhere, the light above the mirror didn't work and was flashing all night. We were kept awake by the fire door outside the room banging all night long. The toilet flush was temperamental. It was very cold even with the heaters on

When I booked I requested a room suitable for disabled guest which was not provided. The hot breakfast was included but the plates were cold

The room was spacious, breakfast was simple but reasonable with a good selection of fruit.

Unfortunately I kept waking up from the hallway door constantly being used throughout the night which was next to my room, so sadly I did not have a good night sleep.

Lovely place, spacious and bright. Good parking and patio area. Lovely lounge/bar. Comfortable room and very clean. Wonderful bed. Excellent breakfast, better than premier inn. Excellent value with breakfast included.

Rather hot room, as no air conditioning. Lighting poor. Bit dark.
