Pros +
- Serene atmosphere. Room was clean.
- Fantastic hotel. Beautiful location. Spacious property in general, and room in particular. Shower was superb with brilliant water pressure. Two king size beds were perfect. Staff were outstanding in every area, friendly, polite and very responsive. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of seating areas around the hotel. Sports Bar food was good value for money and being able to have it served in the quieter adjacent bar area was brilliant. Two bottles of water refreshed every day.
- Location is super lovely, we enjoyed exploring Dedham during the daytime. The spa and treatment are also a treat!
Cons -
- The narrow road to drive to the hotel. There was no hand tissue in the room.
- Very little. Had a couple of housekeeping issues, but the response was immediate and excellent. Fridge not standard in the room but can be requested. Towels are getting a bit thin and probably need replacing.

Location, room size and cleanliness, restaurants, bar and pool facilities. Staff were all really friendly too.
- Beautiful grounds - Ample free parking (but a warning, don't make the mistake I did by parking under the trees on the left, I came back to a 'painted' car courtesy of the birds....)- Spotlessly clean in the corridors, rooms and pool area - Very large room- Comfortable beds - Water provided in the room- Pleasant views from the room out over the golf course - Friendly and approachable staff- Well-kept pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room- Tasty breakfast with adequate options and a great view to eat with - Excellent value for money all-round
- As a few other reviews have mentioned, the room was unbearably hot at night. We used the fan provided, but even in April, found it impossible to sleep due to the heat
Nice it had a bit of everything from Sports bar to posh so you can do what you like. The staff were all friendly too. And little things like having chocolate and crisps behind the bar if you fancy something was nice too
The swimming /spa area could be bigger and updated. And you can only access for 2 hours a day
Super breakfast and good Sunday roast. Super helpful pleasant staff!
Coffee in the restaurant and bar could be hotter !
The location, the spa and the restaurant
Nicely refurbished room, great breakfast, pleasant and attentive staff. The leisure facilities are super and the gym has some excellent equipment. The hotel fits nicely into the landscape with lake views.
Nothing major but we did think that the divan bed bases looked tired and changing them would complete the room makeover.
The room was excellent, facilities in room were adequate. The SPA could do with some modernisation.Breakfast and bat area was excellent
Only thing for me was the light haloing around the blind in room, needs full blackout.
All the staff we came across were so attentive. Grounds were beautiful, very peaceful.
The walls were paper thin. We could literally hear word for word the guy in the next room. He was chatting all night long! No milk to go with the tea and coffee in the room - first world problem I know but still it would have been nice to have it.
Location, food quality specially breakfast- well presented, well cooked and excellent choices. Very clean and well facilitated property. Staff are quite professional and definitely recommend swimming and spa facilities to enjoy. If you’re golfer definitely a heaven for you. Must visit place.
Nothing I recall.
Second time we’ve stayed room comfortable breakfast amazing spa great
No water in the room
Well kept grounds
The place is solely focused on a herd of shorts wearing loud crowds showing interest in signature holes and nothing else. Don't expect adherence to a dinner dress code or no kids lane swimming in the evenings. Do expect a leaky shower head, no fridge in a room and pissheads banging doors and yelling in a corridor at 3am.
All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and the location was really pleasant.
Stayed for 1 night as I was visiting the spa for a hen do. Very large comfortable room.
The location, lakeview with the Golf Course from the restaurant was breathtaking
Breakfast was lovely and the hotel was clean and inviting.
It was very busy in the bar areas during the day.
We didn't end up staying the night in the end as it was really disappointing. The spa is very dated, not particularly clean and not worth the money. The room was okay but the facilities were basic and the 'golf view' room had a shot double glazed panel. Much better choices around the area for around the same money. The aftercare considering we didn't want to stay has been no very good as no refund has been offered even though we disliked it so much we didn't stay.
Great bedroom. Great breakfast.
It is a shame that the pool does not have a bigger window for children to swim. I understand it is a spa pool and people want to relax but it is also a hotel which allows children and it would give them more to do.
